The Flu Is Everywhere — But It's Not Too Late To Protect Yourself

This CDC map shows the percentage of visits to outpatient providers that are for flu-like symptoms. States with "high" activity (up to 6%) are shown in red; states with "low" activity (2% or less) are shown in green.

Everyone around you seems to be coughing and sneezing, and all you can think is, I should have gotten a flu shot.

Good news is, it's not too late.

Simply getting vaccinated — albeit late in the game and with an imperfect vaccine — will still dramatically reduce your chances of getting sick or infecting someone around you.

Very young children and older people who can't get vaccinated are especially susceptible to the virus, which usually kills at least several thousand Americans each year, and sometimes as many as 49,000.

This year's flu is shaping up to be far worse than it has been in recent years. The virus is rampant across 43 states, and 21 children have already died from it.

Why Skipping The Shot Is A Bad Idea

If you're avoiding a flu shot simply because you're confident you can fight it off, you're doing it wrong.

The vaccine isn't just for your safety: It helps protect everyone around you from the virus, too.

So when 6% of people seeking treatment (notice no governing there on the % of the population seeking treatment) have flu like symptoms (which might be the flu, or might not) that’s “high”? That’s some serious fnord.

Amazon sells a kit with 3 little bottles with different applicator tips.

One is a dropper, one is a squirt tip, and one is a mister. I use all three, the dropper for my nose and ears, the squirt tip as an alternative for a quick spray up my nose when I am not at home, and can’t lie down, and the mister for my face/eyes.

Hope this link helps.

Very interesting. I will pass this on to my daughter who has become my younger "anti Dr", clone. lol

She is now into making her own makeups, shampoos, toothpastes, all household soaps, deodorants, etc.

She can afford anything she wants, but we know that Pharma Co's are not our friend, and Drs. do not inform themselves of the harm that Drugs cause, they just keep prescribing more and more. KICKBACKS, who knows?

re colloidal silver -

We’ve all heard the term “born with a silver spoon in their mouth” and the tradition of buying silver baby spoons as a gift for newborns?

this goes WAY back - Even in long ago times, people knew that silver can kill germs.

Wealthy people could afford real silver, and therefore, used silver spoons for their babies - for that reason.

Poorer folk couldn’t afford silver.

“When a toilet is flushed, a fine water spray results which can contaminate every object in the bathroom.”

Which to me is the final word on the man vs. woman argument of seat up or down! (And I’m a guy).

Oh for Heaven's Sake!!!! A vaccine does absolutely nothing to stop you from infecting those around you. A vaccine protects only the vaccinated. Those that don't understand this have no concept of how a vaccine works, simply touting the conventional wisdom.
