Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom on Saturday called on Israel to use the Palestinian Authoritys (PA) tax money it froze to pay off the PAs enormous debt to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).
Following the decision to freeze half a billion shekels in Palestinian tax money, I have asked that the funds will be transferred to cover the Palestinian debt to the IEC, which continues to rise every month, Shalom wrote on Facebook.

That would be just fair, but with a winter storm coming and snow expected, I don't imagine Israel will cut off the power to Gaza. Maybe wait until there is no chance of snow, let's say March, and this time GO AHEAD AND CUT OFF THE ELECTRICITY!!!

Cutting power now may reduce the population of Palisimians - now is always a good time for that.

I wish people would stop calling the camel jockeys “the PA”. Most normal people think that means Pennsylvania.

Step 1: Recoup the money owed to the Israel Electric Corporation from the Palestinian taxes.
Step 2: In the future, cut off electricity when the bill is not paid timely.

Pay? Why should they have to pay? It should be free! Free electricity for the poor and downtrodden! Free stuff!

MK Silvan Shalom is a joke. He is a hack politician. His wife calls him “Steve”. He is a do-nothing Minister.
The Israelis try this trick (which IS justified) but then they pay the PA (PLO) in the end anyways due to American pressure, so why play the games? Hit the Paleostinians where it really hurts, don't let any high ranking PLO Ministers or their families come to Israel for medical treatment, then, the Paleostinian power elite will begin to behave.

Utilities service is a basic human right. At least that’s what the United Nations says about Detroit’s unpaid utilities problem.
