Seems low to me.
Yeah, but since when do voters decide upon choosing their representatives? /sarc
His backers on K street will ignore this completely.
Yawn. Nice but unlikely.
It only matters that he garners a majority of the Republican caucus vote.
He may be unpopular with many of them as well, but they'll likely hold their noses and vote for him.
Like him or not, I thought Klavan's analysis yesterday was spot on.

Far too low.
Perhaps the 60% refers to those who only want a few days of torture for the slimeball before we send his ashes into the sun.
only 60%? 40% either don’t pay attention or are big government types
What is wrong with the other 40%? Have they been living in a fishbowl??
Not really. The ones who want him out are activists who follow politics. And 60% is greater than the pleuralities we have been getting lately in presidential elections.
“What is wrong with the other 40%? Have they been living in a fishbowl??”
They’re the “moderate” republicans that the likes of Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush want to be elected by.
Pat Caddell cracks me up. There are times when he really gets grass roots correct, and this is one of them.
Wow there are still 11% in the idiot class!
“Wow there are still 11% in the idiot class!”
They are business people who pay less taxes then they get from the government or use cheap immigrant labor. For years I have supported lower taxes on business. But if tis is the way they can be I am all for raising it on them.
They are RINOs.
From another thread:
Marsha Blackburn should be asked unofficially if she would be willing, and if she says yes, then she should remain quiet while Conservatives prepare to appoint her.
She has the right experience and the right stuff to ascend to Speaker.
And it is important that Conservatives put her name out there while she shuns the cameras and mics. But Conservatives must know ahead of time that shes willing to accept.
I just called my rep to point this polls out. Do the same with your pubbie Rep.
What are the poll numbers for the Turtle Face RINO in the Senate?
The survey was conducted among self-identified Republicans and independents who say
they lean Republican so the opinions in the poll come from the GOPers around the
country, not the public-at-large.
/*************
The problem is that the vote is not being conducted amongst ‘self-identifed
Republicans and indepenents’ but rather amongst 435 US House of Representative
members. Those 435 will elect the next speaker when they convene for the next session.
