Stopping Obama's Amnesty is the Battle of Our Time
Conservative Review ^ | December 30, 2014 | By: Daniel Horowitz

Every generation of conservative leaders must rise to the occasion to confront the challenge of the time. The challenge at present is to stop Obama’s war on our borders and thereby his war on the rule of law. Will conservatives rise to the occasion?

When the 114th Congress convenes in January, Republicans from across the political sphere will be offering advice concerning the focus of the new GOP-led majority in both houses of Congress. Conservatives will want to focus on taxes, others want to focus on entitlement spending. Still others want to focus on an anti-regulatory agenda. All of these proposals have merit on some level, but none of them reach the level of importance and imminence of fighting Obama’s illegal and dangerous amnesty.

Last week, emboldened by the blank check granted by Boehner and the lame duck Congress, the Obama administration began leasing office space and hiring workers to process the amnesty applications. Obama is misusing public funds dedicated towards processing legal immigrant applications for the use of an amnesty program not authorized by Congress.

But the situation we face is even more precarious than the imminent amnesty for those illegals already here. We now have de facto open borders as Obama has completely shut down all enforcement – both at the border and in the interior. Obama has orchestrated this war on our sovereignty with devastating timing and perfect precision.

I agree, but it must start with new Republican leadership in 2015.

Happy New Year Jim!

Actually, I don’t think the US is his country.

The Indonesian title of “Audacity of Hope” is “Jihad: from Jakarta to the White House”

Often wish the left would leave America and return to the many socialist and tyrannical nations their forefathers left to come to the free nation of America. Bet their forefathers would send them back asap and be ashamed being related their own children with their immeasurable arrogance coupled with their insufferable ignorance of America and freedom and free market capitalism. I know and hope all socialistic one world order citizens would leave America for the poor nations their forefathers left. Sigh.

I agree that this is basically true.

I still feel that what eludes conservatives most on this and so many issues is mastery of language.

In this case, I think “immigration” needs to be translated to “human trafficking” and “legalized slavery.”

That is much more offensive than “immigration” or “illegal immigration.”

Conservatives should highlight the power abuse being conducted by elites on both sides.

Whether its H1-B visas to undercut American engineering students, cheap labor supply for big business, or manufacturing votes for the government class— calling it human trafficking and legalized slavery would make the process much more offensive to the general middle class.

The middle class is being systemically abused and that is probably one of the most offensive aspects of illegal immigration. The elite know that it causes wage suppression but they prefer the benefits of those profits— especially as they form themselves toward political donations of more of the same.

We need better language to attack this problem.

I think it’s safe to say, we won the gun control battle. We can win this battle too. My 2015, new years prediction-Obama is going to be in for a world of hurt.

I think we should just tell it like it is.

Amnesty + Open Borders = The End of our Country.

Exactly. Amnesty and open borders are a sure way to destroy this country. Those, like Jeb Bush, Sen. Flake, and others who support amnesty are not pro USA.

The problem is, they always think they have it right the next time. Just ask Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez, Jung Il...Obama.
