Weird. Why would Ted Cruz voters consider voting for Rand Paul as their backup choice? The latter is getting as nutty as his daddy, and while I don’t think Cruz would be a good candidate simply from a stylistic point of view (he has all the charm of a dingo dog), he doesn’t seem to have much in common with the basically anti-American Paul contingent.

Cruz attended high school at Faith West Academy in Katy, Texas,[32] and later graduated from Second Baptist High School in Houston as valedictorian in 1988.[17] During high school, Cruz participated in a Houston-based group called the Free Market Education Foundation where Cruz learned about free-market economic philosophers such as Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, Frédéric Bastiat and Ludwig von Mises.[26] The program was run by Rolland Storey and Cruz entered the program at the age of 13.[24]

Cruz graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy[33] from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 1992.[6][5] While at Princeton, he competed for the American Whig-Cliosophic Society’s Debate Panel and won the top speaker award at both the 1992 U.S. National Debating Championship and the 1992 North American Debating Championship.[34] In 1992, he was named U.S. National Speaker of the Year and Team of the Year (with his debate partner, David Panton).[34] Cruz was also a semi-finalist at the 1995 World Universities Debating Championship, making him Princeton’s highest-ranked debater at the championship.[35][36] Princeton’s debate team later named their annual novice championship after Cruz.[35]

Cruz’s senior thesis on the separation of powers, titled “Clipping the Wings of Angels,” draws its inspiration from a passage attributed to President James Madison: “If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.” Cruz argued that the drafters of the Constitution intended to protect the rights of their constituents, and the last two items in the Bill of Rights offered an explicit stop against an all-powerful state. Cruz wrote: “They simply do so from different directions. The Tenth stops new powers, and the Ninth fortifies all other rights, or non-powers.”[31][37]

After graduating from Princeton, Cruz attended Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1995 with a Juris Doctor degree.[6][38] While at Harvard Law, Cruz was a primary editor of the Harvard Law Review, and executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, and a founding editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review.[5] Referring to Cruz’s time as a student at Harvard Law, Professor Alan Dershowitz said, “Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant.”[18] At Harvard Law, Cruz was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law and Economics.[39]

We cannot let the media, the establishment RINOs or the democrats choose our candidate. I refuse to listen to polls. They never ask my opinion, so why should I care what these pollsters want me to hear. There is NO REASON we cannot win with a grassroots campaign, if we really want to. If Cruz throws hit hat into the ring, then we get behind him. Reagan did not lean on the polls to win. These pollsters know exactly who to poll to get the “results” they want us to believe is real. Stop listening to them. Start praying more and supporting those who are doing their best to stop this tyrant.

Please provide the relevant sections of the U.S. Constitution that clearly and unambiguously define "Natural Born" as requiring two U.S. Citizens at birth.

Lacking that, Please provide the relevant sections of U.S. Federal Law that clearly and unambiguously define "Natural Born" as requiring two U.S. Citizens at birth.

You won't because you can't because they don't exist anywhere except in your mind and in sources that are not legal or constitutional in nature.

The problem with Romney is ... what do you get when you win?

...

Romney (D-Massachusetts).

If Senator Cruz gains traction with the electorate, don't be surprised if the MSM and the GOPe suddenly become "caring" about this issue.

The double-standards are appalling.

I like this one best:

FYI: This website supports tea party constitutionalist Ted Cruz for president to the hilt. Those who join with the libs, RINOS and GOP-e to openly work against us on this will be considered our political foe and will be treated accordingly. FR will not be used to harm his chances. Take your birther trolling elsewhere.

Yeah, you will. What do we get from Romney except R endorsed amnesty and Obamacare and a zillion other progressive schemes wrapped up in a nice R package. Better to elect a D with an R house and Senate.

Okay folks: I think the ONLY thing Cruz lacks is *positive* name recognition. Texas knows him, and real Conservatives who are well-informed know him..... But the rest of the nation thinks he’s that crazy guy who read Dr. Seuss to shut down the government.

So I challenge fellow Cruz supporters to start getting his name out there NOW. We have a year to do this. I’ve ordered two different tees to wear, and I bought some Cruz stickers to be prizes in a little Cruz contest I’m going to run among my “political” friends. I’m also going to talk him up in social media and call in to radio shows. What are *you* going to do to promote *your* chosen candidate???

I didn’t see this. I am thrilled that FR officially supports Cruz. I do feel that there is potential for FR to have some influence, as we really did fan the Swift Boat embers to flames. I think the right time to help Cruz’s chances will be at the beginning of the campaign. BEFORE he gets completely Palinized.

We don’t have to be like Rush Limbaugh, who in the end is promoting Rush Limbaugh so won’t go out on a limb for anyone. I haven’t seen a single reason why going out on a limb for Cruz will hurt FR, and it could damn well save this nation.
