When you have to keep reminding people of the basic principles of anything, it isn’t legitimate to start with.
It is tantamount to reminding Jews what each day of Hanukah is about because they are so vacuous and transient (some might say this is a symptom of ADD) in their attention spans.
Clarification: I do not intend to convey Hanukah and Jews are in any way comparable to Kwanza and its so-called adherents. The point is that Jews don’t need reminding. Their celebrations are real.
