American Achiever of 2014: Sarah Palin
American Thinker ^ | December 27, 2014 | M. Joseph Sheppard

It would be the height of churlishness for even the most inveterate leftist to deny the import of someone who made Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list, and then the Smithsonian Institution's "100 Most Significant Americans Of All Time" list. Both affirmations were earned by former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

To then accept Governor Palin as "American Achiever of the Year 2014" would be for most, if not all on the left (and to be fair, many in the GOP) no doubt a bridge too far. However, such partisanship should not stand in the way of a general acknowledgement of what was a remarkable year for Palin.

Palin achieved what such luminaries as President Obama did not: a place in the Smithsonian's prestigious "Most Significant" list. After being written off by many in the media, and especially the left, as "irrelevant" and predicted by MSNBC's Krystal Ball as "not going to have an effect on the [2014] midterms," Palin's record of success of her endorsed candidates was nothing short of phenomenal.

Governor Palin endorsed 22 candidates for various offices during the midterm finals, including senators, governors, lieutenant governors, congressmen, and attorneys general. Of those so endorsed, an incredible 20 were elected – contrasted with, for example, Hillary Clinton's record of 8 wins out 24 endorsed candidates.

Beyond the success of her endorsed candidates lies a much deeper reason for Palin being seen as "Achiever of the Year": those Palin endorsed in their respective primaries who then went on to win the general election battles....

Hot Hunt:I agree 100%. She may have human faults or frailties like we all do, but I don't see any in her public presence, aside from what the lefties have made-up about her.

BTW, I am a guy and I still think she is the greatest thing since sliced bread. And so does my wife. Plain-spoken, down to earth, one of the regular people not the elite. She would make a great president but the political landscape would have to change before she could ever be elected. The left has besmirched, ridiculed and hated her so much in print and on TV that she has become a divisive figure.

If she ran for office, any office, tomorrow, I would vote for her in a heartbeat. She's my g

Loud Mime:

Now she leads the only constitutional movement alive in this nation.

HotHunt and Loud Mime, your posts are nothing short of Excellent!

Fantastic Job! :)

Sorry, but she walked away from the governorship instead of fighting back. Why would we expect her to stand up to the onslaught were she to make it to the White House?

Alaska has a number of provisions, which left her exposed personally, to the machinations which Democrats unleashed upon her after her run from the Vice Presidency.

Just saying.

She gave it a good run, but dems attacked back after the election, and due to the specifics of the Alaska governor’s position she stood down.

I was crushed at the time, but I understand and support Sarah 100%.

Thank you very much. I truly think she would be so much better than these eastern liberal university elites who have as a whole, not served our country well. She graduated from the University of Idaho. Our last great president we had was Reagan and he graduated from Eureka College in Illinois.

They are regular people who relate to the public more than the elites, who relate more to Marx. I generalize, but you get my point.

Excellent post to this excellent article, 2DV!

I also wholeheartedly agree with this statement of yours.....

If a liberal Democrat were that successful at endorsements, it’s all you’d see from the New York Times, Politico, MSNBC, WaPo, Huffington and all the rest.

The MSM/Marxist regime is a 24/7 smear machine that is grueling and fatiguing to contend with. Sarah has held her own, quite well, considering. For that alone, she deserves being named 2014’s American Achiever....not to mention all of her other incredible accomplishments mentioned.

She didn’t walk away from anything...except a 24/7 Marxist smear machine.

What she DID do was keep her great state from being dragged through the mud of lies/smears (lawsuit after lawsuit, etc). This selfless act not only highlighted Sarah Palin’s keen sense of strategy, but allowed her to confidently steer the conservative movement without the libs being able to lick their chops at a target holding an elected office. She single handedly turned all of the tables around on them, with absolute brilliance.

And when I see Reagan, I see George Washington.

Excerpt....

For all her detractors’ cries of "irrelevance" and "she's just a reality show entertainer" (those two being among the nicer epithets), Palin goes on, election cycle after election cycle, populating Congress with her endorsed candidates in a cost-effective manner, and in such numbers that the likes of Karl Rove with his 1% success rate can surely view only with hidden admiration, if not downright envy.

That’s great. I sometimes post my images on a closed Facebook group site for conservatives I went to high school with. They are free to repost them on their own FB pages too without my permission. I only asked that people that use the images, keep my “HotHunt” attribution on the image. I do my images and memes for fun and not for any remuneration.

Thanks again. I appreciate your compliment.
