After mentioning the Sony emails and telling his listeners who Elba is, Limbaugh said, Heres the thing, though James Bond is a fictional character, obviously. James Bond was invented, created by Ian Fleming and James Bond is white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is.
But now Sony is suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton rather than a white from Scotland, continued Limbaugh. But thats NOT who James Bond is, and I know its racist to probably even point this out
We had 50 years of white Bonds because Bond is white. Bond was never black. Ian Fleming never created a black Brit to play James Bond. The character was always white. He was always Scottish.

I have to agree to disagree with you on this issue. Filmmakers have changed many things from the novel...But, changing the race of James Bond is too much for me...
I get what you say (I am a true Bond fan as well), but they broke the mould with Craig, imo that would allow a black Bond if the actor is right. And he is the one UK black actor that would be superb. As I said, my choice would be Tom Hardy or Henry Cavill. Hardy would be early 40’s, Cavill late 30’s. Perfect for 6-10 yrs in the role.
Gerard Butler would be great, but as the new Bond wont be until 2018-19, he would be a touch too old imo at 49-50.
Normal people are capable of looking at an actor/actress and seeing a human being. So for normal people, a Black actor can play a White person, and vice versa.
Not for the left. When the left sees an actor, it sees primarily a Black or a White. They don’t see persons.
The left is racist.
They’re not casting a black James Bond because of “liberal bias,” they’re casting a black James Bond because they think there’s an undervalued market in the black ticket-buying public.
