Good luck with that. I grew up in West Virginia, and worked for a coal mine (in a warehouse) during the summer before grad school. The miners and mechanics I knew were real men, committed to supporting their families and brave beyond belief.

Let me guess, the ultimate bad guy in this film is the anti union Margaret Thatcher?
Brokeback Under the Mountain? Not among any of the coal miners I knew in WV. And coal mining in my family goes back at least 5 generations. My dad made sure I didn’t go into it, and encouraged me to get an education and do something else, which I did (RF engineer).
Yep, which is why I avoided it.
