It’s a good thing that the spotlight is on the terrible situations that our brave police officers face as they protect the public from harm.Well, then it's a good thing Officer Manny didn't get fired in October for failing to follow departmental rules in the prelude to the shooting.

@ boycott: Officer Manney knew that the dead guy was mentally ill. He was fired for instigating the fight with an inappropriate pat-down.
