The teenage son of Mayor Rahm Emanuel was the victim of a robbery outside the mayors Lakeview home Friday night, a spokesperson from the mayors office confirms.
Police were called to the 4200 block of North Hermitage at 10:05 p.m. Friday for a report of a robbery on the street where there would normally already be a police presence.
Emanuels 17-year-old son went out to make a phone call when he was jumped by two men who stole the teens cell phone.

I wanna see a picture of the victim.
Drug deal gone bad?
Likely a ‘hate crime’ with robbery a second thought.
It would seem his son developed a habit, something I would not wish on a worst enemy
My first, second, and third thought.
Drug sale gone wrong?
Otherwise, it’s been so cold in Chicago the Democrats have been keeping their hands in their own pockets.
Hey, whoa!
Two men mugged him for his obamaphone?
If, as the article says, police officers are assigned to the front and back of Emmanuel’s home 24/7, how did his son get assaulted? I think there must be more to this story than he stepped outside to make a phone call.
They can thank whatever Deities that Mad Sam DeStefano was shotgunned. Google William, "Action", Jackson.
“To make a phone call”?
Maybe he stepped outside for some privacy, or there was a loud party going on and he went outside so he could hear the call.
Well, you know Dem kids....
That's what came to my mind as well.
You think his old man doesn’t live in a big enough house to find a quiet room?
The kid is lucky he’s even alive.
Nice look forward to hearing more
I'm actually surprised that this much got out. There's way more to this than we're being fed.
Chitcago politics.
“son went out to make a phone call when he was jumped by two men who stole the teens cell phone.”........
First question: Why, when the kid had a cell phone did he have to go out to make a call?
Possible Answer: To order drugs? (High probability)
End of questioning.
