Very few people understand what Putin is doing at the moment. And almost no one understands what he will do in the future.
No matter how strange it may seem, but right now, Putin is selling Russian oil and gas ONLY for physical gold.
How long will the West be able to buy oil and gas from Russia in exchange for physical gold?
And what will happen to the US petrodollar after the West runs out of physical gold to pay for Russian oil, gas and uranium, as well as to pay for Chinese goods?

Bad as these scandals are and vast as the money involved in them is by any normal standard, they are mere blips on the screen, compared to the risk that is still staring us in the face: the lack of transparency in derivative trading that now totals in notional amount more than $700 trillion. The problem with your statement is the Russian people are not completely behind Putin. It us common knowledge that he has been voted out before and his time has also run out to be the leader in the first place. He basically just continues in his position by force. The people elected someone else and that guy gave his position to Putin because he knew he would be killed if he didn’t. The next election the same thing will happen watch. Putin is going to rule as long as he wants. There is no democracy in Russia and the majority of people there don’t like Putin.
