I’m not sure being too pro-Israel is the way to go. What the Mideast needs is stability. A totally destabilized Iran would be seriously bad news for everyone but ISIS and Saudi Arabia.

Well, Ted Cruz isn't like the GOP-E POTUS pretenders, like Rand Paul, he actually seems to relish living by his principles and not putting his finger in the wind to figure out what his next policy position should be.
Furthermore, he seems to be a principled man where it concerns backing our friends and backing Democracies like Israel.
I'll take his approach over yours any day.

And another war in moozlimland, as needed as it may be, is not going to be well received by the voters - or supported by the media. Unless we’re willing to renounce Powell’s “you break it, you fix it” doctrine I can’t get behind shedding more American blood to sort out another rathole. Now, if you want to nuke ‘em, that’s another matter.
