WASHINGTON The Senate confirmed three Texans Tuesday night for lifetime judicial appointments, capping an effort to fill vacancies in the state that have languished for years.
The nominees U.S. Attorney Robert Pitman of San Antonio, Texarkana lawyer Robert Schroeder III and Sherman Magistrate Judge Amos Mazzant III were approved by a voice vote on Congress final night this year. Pitman, the first openly gay U.S. attorney in Texas history, will be the states first openly gay federal judge.

YAY, we know what a judge does with his genitalia. Glory to the USSA for its enlightenment.
“YAY, we know what a judge does with his genitalia.”
We also know that the Texans in the US Senate could have stopped this nomination.
Bozo.
as long as they know the law, do I care what they do at home? I think not.
Why in the world do we allow Democrats to confirm judges in a lame duck session? This is not 1800, when it took three months to travel from the West to D. C. There should be NO such session in an era of instant communication. These are life-time appointments that ensure the Democrats will advance their socialist agenda even when voted out of office.
It is wrong.
“as long as they know the law, do I care what they do at home? I think not.”
What they do in the bedroom influences what they do in the courtroom.
The Democrat party will soon be nothing but minorities and queers. I give the party another 20 years...tops.
I long for the old days when queers and other perverts stayed in the closet and STFU.
if they make bad rulings; impeach and remove them; that is the legal mechanism for getting rid of judges.
Unfortunately, all to often, homosexual public officials are aggressive advocates for the expansion of their viewpoint agenda over all considerations of law or public policy.
Krauthammer is wrong on Cruz and couldn’t admit that these approvals were going to occur with or without Cruz doing what he did.
And when it comes down to a case where a free business man does not want to do business with a gay that requires they provide a service to which they are theistically opposed? Will this ‘judge’ be fair and open?
I think not.
Unfortunately, many of the homo judges allow their sexual proclivity/perversity influence their decisions.
We certainly know that if they are gay and an Obama appointee that they are activists and we can see from rulings on ssm that what they do at home DOES matter because for the left the bedroom is politics.
“if they make bad rulings; impeach and remove them; that is the legal mechanism for getting rid of judges.”
Off the top of your head, can you name three federal judges that were impeached for making bad rulings?
If Obama thought the judge would be fair he would not have appointed him/her.
The Democrat Party will still rule the Republican Party though.
nope only one from florida, and I believe he is a congress-critter now.
a black gentleman who if I remember correctly got paid to throw a case and was removed. His name escapes me at the moment.
Did you really expect any other kind of judge to be appointed by a Dem? It is customary to allow such nominations to be approved. It has been that way for a while.
sucks, but that is the way it is at the moment.
