Six months after the military began an investigation into the disappearance of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and his capture by the Taliban, which held him for five years, the results remain under wraps as senior Army officials determine what to do next.
Bergdahl was recovered in Afghanistan by U.S. troops in a controversial swap for five Taliban officials on May 31. He had disappeared from his small patrol base on June 30, 2009, under a cloud of suspicion and fear as it became clear he been captured by militants.
The Army in June launched a new investigation into Bergdahls disappearance and capture, amid a raft of accusations from his fellow soldiers that he walked away from his unit on the battlefield and questions about whether the Obama administration handled the prisoner swap legally. But six months later there is silence about the probe from all corners.
Army Lt. Col. Alayne Conway, a spokeswoman at Army headquarters, and Army Col. Steve Warren, a spokesman for the Pentagon, both said Monday that they had no updates about the case. Bergdahls lawyer, Eugene R. Fidell, declined to comment. Fidell, a military justice expert who teaches at Yale University, was hired in July.

Look for a news release around 11PM next Thursday evening: no charges will be brought, criminally. He will get an article 15 for losing a uniform piece and be adjudged for time served in captivity, self imposed. Then he gets his windfall cash and will be reinstated with a unit nearer home as a poster boy for a obama’s idea of the ideal soldier with at least one rank increase, perhaps 2.
Bergdahl could avoid any setbacks at all by declaring himself to be female. Instant Left Wing hero.
Paging North Korea: Please hack, get this report and leak it to the public. Thank you.
“declaring himself to be female”
Good point...he was sequestered in the hospital for unspecified reasons when released.
Your scenario is pathetic but unfortunately it’s a good possibility, especially after 0bama’s photo op at the WH with his parents.
Better yet, declare himself a muslim trangender; hell, Obama would give him the Medal of Honor...
Just because the administration was buddy-buddy with the Muslim father is no reason to delay the release. It is common knowledge among the opposition (me) that the head of the administration leans toward the Sunni Muslim tradition so just get it over with and stop playing games with the military.
And in a couple of years, he will enter a busy restaurant and start murdering and kidnapping the customers
after publishing a news release claiming that saying Merry Christmas is worse than Murder...
BULLSH*T. They'll do nothing as they are instructed by their Commander-In-Chief. They'll even LIE as they are ordered to do by their Commander-In-Chief.
I think you have to do that BEFORE you get accused of wrongdoing. Brad Manning tried it afterwards, and it got him nowhere.
How is Hasan doing? Is he still alive?
Are his helpers still in power?
Why have NONE been indicted? or removed? or investigated?
Hasan is the barometer of the degree
to which the Enemy RUNS the Pentagon.
And if you do your duty protecting troops in your command and kill the enemy you get 20 years in Levenworth-per FoxNews this morning.
Send him back.
The delay is probably because the insane criminal Clown Prince nobama is trying to figure out how to give him a Medal of Honor...probably on Christmas day.
Is he Sergeant Major of the Army yet? Or have they made him a Warrant Officer?
Look for an Army final report declaring him a deserter and then Obama pardoning him.
