Scott Walker to EPA: Take Your Clean Power Plan and Keep Walking

The nation’s state legislatures are about to become embroiled in a battle of epic proportions as they line up on either side of the debate over the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.

The struggle could define the future of, and indeed the very existence of, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.), 49 members of the Wisconsin Legislature and the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin are part of a nationwide, state legislative backlash against the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.

EPA officials proposed the plan in June 2014. It is designed to reduce carbon greenhouse gas emissions from fossil-fuel fired power plants.

The EPA believes by 2030 this rule would cut CO2 emissions from the nation’s power plants by approximately 30 percent from emission levels in 2005.

“This goal is achievable because innovations in the production, distribution and use of electricity are already making the power sector more efficient and sustainable while maintaining an affordable, reliable and diverse energy mix,” according to an EPA press release.

Walker and the others on his side of the issue see the EPA plan, which strictly regulates emissions generated by the nation’s power plans, as typical of the agency’s overreach.

There are thousands of pages of Environmental laws that make the EPA possible .those laws were passed by your democrat congresses.
Just PART of ONE such law the Clean Air Act is upheld here by the Supreme Court

http://earthjustice.org/news/press/2014/supreme-court-upholds-epa-s-authority-to-limit-carbon-pollution.

the supreme Court wasn’t uphodling any Nixon executive order but laws like the Clean air act. in fact democrat congresses spent 40 years writing environmental laws like these but you all of course blame One Republican Nixon because he is a Republican. same thing that is going on now

but of course the liberal media blames Nixon so 40 years of democrat Congresses are innocent and really conservative or so the media would fool you and others to believe

Took on the unions...and won. And Wisconsin is in the black.
Now taking on an over-reaching EPA

I haven’t seen this kind of backbone with results since Ronald Reagan took on communist Europe

i have already seen it that he doesn’t want to deal with certain things anymore because of these attacks. he is not fearless. he isn’t the same as he was when he first took on public sector union/right to work. took much of the fight out of him. sadly.

Our worthless governor Inlsee will bend over and kiss their arse and welcome these new regulations as if they were written on stone tablets.

He is currently trying to jam a carbon trade Cap and tax system on us so we can do our part tot save the world...

I like Walker - he’s done a ton of good, but my understanding is he’s on the wrong side of immigration.

If that's your main issue, then he may not be your man. Frankly as governor of Wisconsin, it hasn't been that big a deal for him. He has plenty of wiggle room if he wants to hone his position, but he'll never be a Tancredo.
