Mark Levin to the GOP: I AM ONE INCH AWAY FROM LEAVING YOU!
The Right Scoop ^ | 12/15/2014 | the Right Scoop

Posted on 12/15/2014 3:47:57 PM PST by gwgn02

Mark Levin ripped Republicans a new one tonight as he opened his show tonight, saying that he is one inch away from leaving the Republican Party.

He starts in hard, asking Republicans if they think this is a joke, if they think they can just lie to Republicans and conservatives with impunity about defunding Obamacare and fighting Obama’s illegal amnesty.

He points out that Republicans go on and on about an imperial president and his illegal amnesty and they can’t even vote on a point of order challenging Obama.

Levin says the Constitution is in tatters and that the Republican Party doesn’t even realize they’ve ceded their power to Obama.

And there’s so much more

The war for the soul of the GOP needs to be waged not only by the base, but Conservatives in Congress as well. On the date of elections for leadership, the 67 House members and 18 Senators who voted against the CRomnibus should announce their intentions not to caucus with the GOP unless the entire leadership steps down. At the same time, millions of Conservatives in states that require registration by party need to go to their local Voter’s Registration Office and change their affiliation to Independent thereby telling the GOP in no uncertain terms that unlike the voting block in the Democrat Party they hold no lock on our vote any longer if they insist on rubberstamping Obama’s destruction of the Constitution.

I feel the same way. Almost half the Republicans in the Senate voted against a non binding constitutional point of order declaring Obama’s action on Amnesty unconstitutional. If they can’t even vote to declare that what Obama did was unconstitutional then what exactly will they do? It proves that what they were doing was a show for Washington inside the beltway types. Cruz however is targeting a much different and wider audience. They think they are winning which goes to show they just aren’t listening to the American people. Then they came up with the stupid claim that Reid was just going to shut the doors on the Senate and not rush through the last of the confirmations before the end of the Democrat Senate and then blamed Cruz for it.

They really think the American people are stupid.

Who can fault him over this? Look how much he has invested in a solution for our country. The Article 5 process is underway, yes it could be moving faster but it IS moving.
His frustration carries a hell of a lot more weight than mine. This has to be a hard decision for him, especially knowing if he leaves it will take some of the weight away from all his future commentary. Right now he’s a former Reagan administration official who’s written 4 books helping to steer this country back to conservatism, plus while doing a radio talk show to help educate America. If he is no longer a republican they will paint him as a pissed off loser who is now on the outside, so why listen to him. He steadily gains listeners and they want him to lose his following.

I would still like the see the attempt made regardless of the outcome.

Both John Boehner and Mitch McConnell lied, tricked and intentionally deceived their supporters.

Here is one article from 11/14/14 that validates what I’m saying.

In the New Jersey case, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled a recall attempt against Sen. Menendez unconstitutional citing Article VI and the 1967 Idaho federal case in which the citizens of that state attempted to recall Sen. Church. But the New Jersey Supreme Court didn't wait until enough petitions had been gathered to invoke the provision in the 1947 New Jersey Constitution permitting recall. It actually issued a cease-and-desist order against the petition effort.

This is now settled law. Any attempt to recall a federal officer -- a senator or congressman -- will be stopped by court order.

It doesn't matter who lies and who tricks their constituents. Politicians do that every day. It's a part of their shtick, the political process. You might as well attempt to recall every politician in the world.

The only thing that matters is the law, and this issue is settled at both the federal and state level.

The law matters as much as the politicians let it matter.

The intent of the Constitution, as Madison pointed out many times in the Federalist Papers, is to concentrate sovereignty in the people. The people's representatives write the law, the executive enforces it, and the courts interpret it.

In the end, it's up to the people to enforce their beliefs by electing representatives who reflect them. The problem is that the people either aren't paying attention, or are in fact electing people who do reflect those beliefs.

I'd like you to read Federalism: Yesterday and Today. It's 7000 words, so you might want to save it for when you have time. I think you'll find it interesting.

How does this apply? Politics is like anything else. Dirt lowers and cheapens it. No screed could “educate” me otherwise.

Levin says the Constitution is in tatters and that the Republican Party doesn’t even realize they’ve ceded their power to Obama.

Of course, the Republican Party knows EXACTLY what it has done, since the Republican Party agrees with Obama.

A big enough chunk of the GOP has gotten sold on the idea of throngs of illegales, that their difference with Barack is only with HOW it’s done, not WHETHER.

It’s a scholarly essay, not a screed. There’s a difference.

Not even scholarly essays can rise above Godly first principles.

Dirty people make dirty politics. Want to see people dirt? Start by looking in a mirror.

Court rulings always change over time. So you are not going to convince me about what happened in a single case in 1947 or 1967.

Did the lawsuits on Obamacare stop after 1 case? Absolutely not.

I get it you are a BIG supporter of the RNC Leadership, and you are attempting to discourage any sort of challenge to the so called “leadership”. Yes I know all politicians lie, but how serious is the lie.

IMO and many other conservatives, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are back stabbers and CERTAINLY no leaders. They are 100% certified compromised and need to be replaced immediately.

I am astounded how lightly you are taking this. THIS is the ultimate political betrayal.

I have no doubt you don't think that is the case.

No, Levin just wants a voice in the 2016 primaries, but the primaries are now dominated by the “moderate” Republicans.
