People need to stop saying 17 trillion in debt. Its at least 18,100,000,000,000.00. As this is a pledge against our taxes, and paying taxes is non-voluntary it is nothing less than selling us, our children, their children and grandchildren into slavery.

And I have been working on tutorial-like things.

Yes he is but he did not vote to fund Obama’s executive amnesty, probably realizing that he is up for re-election.

CAESAR:"Et tu, Brute?" {Brutus} Caesar calling out to Brutus as his friend Brutus and other Roman Senators suddenly and repeatedly began stabbing Caesar to death.
VOTERS WHO VOTED FOR REPUBLICANS THIS MIDTERM: "Et tu, Boehner?" Referring to how Speaker Boehner betrayed and stabbed midterm Republican voters in the back with his passage of the recent traitorous spending bill.
BOEHNER: Who is Judas? Why do people keep calling me Judas as I walk down the street? Why did someone recently leave 30 pieces of silver on my doorstep? I only want what is best for America. As my friend Obama likes to say: "It was the right thing to do.God bless America!"

I'm disgusted with my senator, Toomey. When Obama issued his immigration edict, I wrote to Toomey begging him for action to stop this madness. Toomey replied that he would work with his fellow senators on “how to best address this regrettable decision by the President.”
Obviously, the senator's response to my email was so much politician-speak. He addressed the issue all right. He voted to fund this direct violation of the law.
These days I'm beginning to wonder why I bother voting. We don't have choices.

Nope. There are 3 more that need to be added to the list - ALL from Oklahoma, of all places! (The REDDEST of the Red States!) Frank Lucas, Tom Cole, and surprisingly to some of us, MarkWayne Mullin - Republicans all - have cut their throats with the Tea Party. Thanks to Jim Bridenstine and our newly elected Senator-to-be, James Lankford, for truly representing we Okies......................

And this surprised whom? Not this Independent.
Well, that’s not actually accurate: I’m surprised it was only $1.1T and that they passed it so fast before they had a chance to stuff more into it.
But they want to go on recess. Gotta have those priorities.../s

Face it. They don't need "We the People ... " any more. They have "We the Corporatist ..." to provide the money. As for votes, that's a wave of a magic wand and plenty of govt welfare.
I saw a silver service that the congress use for the LEAST of their meetings today and my draw dropped. On tax payer dole of course. Something that the rest of us might see once in our lives but on the taxpayers back, they can see it every day of their lives.
Give me a reason to vote and I might consider it.
Not til then.

It's a very dangerous sign when you feel worse in your victory than you enemy does in his loss ;(
