Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday strongly disputed claims by former Bush administration officials and fellow Republicans that harsh interrogation tactics used by the Central Intelligence Agency did not constitute torture.
McCain said he had vigorous discussion with former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Central Intelligence Agency Director Michael Hayden during the Bush administration urging them not to use excruciating methods.
I said these things are torture. Theyre in violation of the Geneva Convention and the convention against torture, he said on CBSs Face the Nation, noting that Congress later banned some of the techniques that were under debate.

‘McCain should sell his brain to a fertilizer company.’
Bad idea. Much too contaminated. It would poison whatever soil it was applied to.

"Do you know for fact the wounds weren't caused by his plane crash?"Exactly. Plenty of folks believe Crash McCain rolled right over to save his own bacon.

The hard left (which includes McCain) by releasing this “report” are making one last ditch effort to escape much like a scene in a low budget movie where bank robbers in a van try to elude police by throwing appliances and scrap metal out the back of the van.

I heard he crashed, and then was beaten by villagers before he was supposedly tortured. Given how he behaves, I have trouble believing him words.

Thank you. I knew there was a major issue he lied about.

Does it ever occur to you that there could be some issues on which opposing parties could agree? Torture is unAmerican

You will find no one who has more respect for members of our military than I do. But McCain's military past does not buy him exemption from criticism for all he has done and continues to do to harm this country.
Some may call him a "war hero". Benedict Arnold was a war hero. But he was also a traitor. Do we withhold criticism of him?

Given all the facts: the timing of the report, who wrote it, who is endorsing it, and the political climate it was released into, points to only one conclusion, and that is it was released for purely political reasons by the left to sabotage the incoming republican majority congress. It has nothing to do with "values" or "morals" or any of that lip service. It's a political hand-grenade tossed by the left for the most political damage, plain and simple.

mclame has played the “I was a tortured POW card too often. It has expired. The senile fool is working against America, cuddling-up to his LIB/DIM “friends”. He is a loser on many levels and should withdraw into senility and retirement.
