Management at Roxy’s bar and dance club apologized on Facebook late Friday for a “hands up, pants up” wristband that sparked a late night protest linked to police involvement in the deaths of black men in Ferguson and New York.
A group of around 90 protesters linked arms and stopped traffic outside of Roxy’s at 1025 E. Broadway at 11:30 p.m. Friday, eventually causing police to close the intersection of Tenth and Cherry streets to vehicle traffic for a short time.
The Facebook apology said the wristbands were meant to be a joke about the bar’s dress code policy, which forbids “extremely saggy pants” and forbids entry to anyone whose pants won’t stay up without the use of their hands. But many of the protesters felt this apology was not enough.

You ARE NOT allowed to say anything counter to whatever the Radical Academic Socialist-approved Meme-of-the-Moment/Current Truth is, no matter how different today’s narrative is from yesterday’s narrative.
Sometimes, the truth hurts. Especially those who see the truth as ‘hate speech’. At the very least, those who believe that something called ‘hate speech’ exists.
I sometimes wonder how many business owners who do things like this are actually liberal.
If they are libs, its a win-win, free PR, and they can do something to advance their political agenda without being called a wacko lib.
Or am I just totally cynical?

The ‘community’ should be mocked. People who wear the pants down style look like complete idiots who do not deserve respect. That’s my opinion, and if it makes me a racist, whatever.
At this point, people are just doing this stuff to rub the punk/libs noses in it for the free PR. No one is going to ‘accidentally’ do this.
And the bars/clubs may be trying to clear out gang banger clientele. Win/win. If the Bangers torch the place, the bar gets a fat insurance check and the owner retires. If the garbage leaves ‘peacefully’, better clients patronize the joint.

Some minorities gotta learn the hard way with Democrats just as some conservatives have to learn the hard way with the GOP. No difference.
Tell a liberal ‘no’ about anything and watch how fast that ‘community’ goes into tantrums that make spoiled children wince. And don’t forger who programmed this ‘community’.
Some of the 100% white kids in my rural neighborhood did the same thing in their late high school years. Don't know if they wore that dress to school, but they sure wore it after school. They are "grown up" now but the reservoir of bad ideas remains. Blacks may be well represented, but the real problem is cultural decay fostered by entertainment media which, alas, many people support even here.
The kind of community with a combined IQ of 25. It looks like that is a fairly large one.
