New government guidance has LGBT rights advocates "thrilled"
In one short paragraph of a 34-page memo released on Dec. 1, the Department of Education articulated a clear stance on gender identity, saying transgender students in public schools should be enrolled in single-sex classes that align with how they live their lives day-to-day.
“We’re thrilled,” says Shannon Minter, the legal director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights. “It’s so critical to the health and well-being of those students, and it’s going to be so helpful to have that guidance in writing so that schools understand what their obligations are.”
The memo is explicit that federal law protects students’ decisions made in accordance with their gender identity. “Under Title IX,” it reads, a school “must treat transgender students consistent with their gender identity in all aspects of the planning, implementation, enrollment, operation, and evaluation of single-sex classes.”

I think this gay thing has to do with places like China, communist, where girl babies are killed in order to create a male military society...not sure why, but these are the most unpleasant people in the world. Definitely the least happy.
Lets give the FED what they want. I had to fill out a questionnaire asking me race, gender, age etc. I picked the values that felt good at the time. You know... I am an 18 year old Cherokee Indian at the moment. I was able to conduct my business, and if Elizabeth Warren is 1/32 Indian, then so am I.
Sometimes, I ID myself as an Burka wearing Islamic lesbian who needs full access to women’s bathrooms and showers. Sometimes not. Who is bigoted enough to say that I should be denied this.

Gender identity is such BS. You’re either a boy or a girl... or a hermaphrodite. You don’t get to pick. These idiots need to wake up to reality and deal with it. If you’re gay or straight, that’s sexual preference.

How can it have anything to do with China? They have inadvertently skewed the ratio of boys to girls higher than the normal average of 105 boys to 100 girls in most western countries. What it has to do with is a deconstruction of gender and just basic common sense. There is nothing more intuitive than gender but as with most intuitive things the left is fouling it up and making the problem of a few outlier freaks and annoyance for everyone.
They hadn’t even descended into this kind of perverted idiocy back in Sodom and Gomorrah and look what happened to them.
That’s no joke. I’ve known several homosexuals personally and also silently observed LGBT forums and many lesbians are very aggressive in trying to “convert” straight women through subterfuge. Its not just lesbians though. One of the key issues with the increase of same sex assault in the military which was entirely predictable based on pre DADT statistics is service men waking up to find out they are being molested. Though I don’t know how it doesn’t result in more deaths because if something like that happened to me I’d kill the son of the bitch.

So, I’m waiting for teenage boys to “identify” as girls so they can use the girl’s showers. Failing to let them do so would hurt their self esteem, don’t ya know.

Totally unnecessary. You could probably fit all of the so-called transgendered students in this country into a phone booth. Another top-down diktat from the Feds.
Its coming. This kind of thing is a symptom of big underlying problems in a civilization. It isn’t the primary cause but it is a very visible symptom. When people can’t even get the basics like gender right then something is very wrong.

No I do not have to accept it. The Feds US Dept of Education has no bearing on the people. Why should I accept someone whom was born a male and thinks he should be a female. There are people whom help these people they are called shrinks. The next thing you know that when a child is 8 - 10 the D of Ed will be asking children do you want to be a girl or do you want to be a boy. The D Of Ed can help you out.
I’m not sure how this helps them. Having boys in the class who identify as girls would seem like competition to me.
Let’s play pretend with the force of law behind it. Nothing could possibly go wrong. /s
