I agree that there are no "hate crimes". Crime is crime, and should be treated as such.

I agree with you about the sensitivity issue. Being "sensitive" has so affected what people say that it's destroyed freedom of speech.

My point is that avoiding direct unverifiable verbal attacks on people and using qualifiers is all it takes to avoid being accused of being a hater.

I grew up in a tough mixed neighborhood in the NYC borough of The Bronx. The names young people called each other would not pass muster in today’s sensitive world. But in these neighborhood they still are often heard. The worst offenders are in minority neighborhoods where the “N” word is apparently a necessity to complete a sentence.
