It is an excellent idea! Getting on the trail before the Uniparty’s conventions would be excellent.

I’m not talking about creating a political party, or centralizing, just organizing. If we don’t do something like this, we can never actually flex our political muscle in the Presidential races, so we had better get used to RINO candidates.
RINO’s or no RINO’s, it boils down to the will of the American People over the politicians. The American People have got to stop acquiescing to these politicians and realize they, the American People, are the BOSS. The people elect these politicians. It’s time the people made it very uncomfortable for misbehaving politicians.
That would fix a lot of RINO problems right there. The only reason for this mess is the American People have allowed it. Organizing political parties is not really the answer. It’s more of the same.
Political parties select the candidates that the people get to vote for. If you don’t control a political party, or at least wield enough influence in one to get your demands addressed, then what can you do? Organize a write-in campaign?
The system is what it is. Either we come up with a plan to beat the system and get our goals accomplished, or we can whine about the system. I know which one I think is more productive.
Look at the left for an example. Ideologically, we are opposites, but set that aside, and we are in a similar position to where they were in the 60s. Back then, they were the radical outsiders at war with the right and with the moderates on their own side. Fast forward fifty years, and now the radical left is the preeminent force in the Democrat party, and sets the whole agenda. How did they accomplish that? If they can do it, we can do it too, and much more easily, since we can simply mimic their successful tactics while avoiding any dead-end roads they went down. I know one thing for certain: they did not achieve this by decrying political parties and hoping that the American people would just come around to their way of thinking on their own.

“To let it die on the electoral vine would mean abandoning it for a new party and leaving the GOPs financing to Big Money. You would have to reduce it to an empty husk with a lot of money and few voters.”
That works for me.
Can’t own a TEA Party voter if they aren’t voting GOP.
I will never again vote for another GOP candidate and feed the liberal eGOP beast. They don’t own my vote, I do!
