The internet troll armys selling of the Kremlins parallel universe to the Russian people and to a skeptical Western audience is a matter of life and death for the Putin regime. If the Russian people do not buy their story, Putin loses the high ratings on which his regime rests. If he cannot convince his Western audience, Europe and the United States will take actions that spoil his Novorossiya ventures and threaten his regime. Trolling is a high stakes business that Putin takes seriously and the West must not underestimate.
Germanys Angela Merkel described Russian President Vladimir Putin, after a phone conversation, as living in another world. Like Merkel, we, who write on Russias War on Ukraine, have all had our rude introduction to Putins other world. In his parallel universe, the aggressor is the victim, strangers appoint themselves premiers of non-existent republics, hundreds of soldiers mysteriously perish in border exercises or on vacation, a certified nationally elected government is a neo-Nazi junta, and hundreds of tanks and heavy weapons crossing borders are optical illusions.

According to a Buzzfeed account, each troll is expected to post 50 news articles daily and maintain six Facebook and ten Twitter accounts, with 50 tweets per day. At these rates, a small army of one thousand trolls will post 100,000 news articles and tweets per day.
It sound to me like you’re a real Putin man. He can do know long. You remind me of the fellow travelers in the Cold War. If Stalin did it, it was right. Whatever Stalin said or did was right. I really don’t care what you think. I know there are pro-Putinistas on FreeRepublic, like there are catamites in jails. They want to do the bully’s propaganda for him. You’ll believe anything RT or Putin tell you. You’re duped at best and willfully ignoring Putin’s anti-American and his anti-Christian behavior. You may want to live under a Putin-controlled church, but most Christians do not. You may see Iran as a pro-Christian nation, but most people don’t. You may see Iran’s nuclear program as benign and Russian aide as a sign of neighborliness, but most of the world does not. So go have your loving fantasy about the restoration of the Russian empire under a shirtless Putin and don’t bother claiming he’s a pro-Christian leader to me.
Larry King isn’t a Christian. Putin claims to be a special exemplar of Christianity, a man nearly without sin. It’s the type of thing that fools some people.
I prefer to call them Putanas. It fits better.

putana
A slut or a prostitute.
“No man, you don’t want her she is a putana!”
You sound delusional but you might well be just a paid Russian troll.
Putin a virtuous Christian, please it makes one want to vomit.
Russia a defender of justice and Christian ethics is vomit.
No one other than Russian trolls are buying what you are selling.
LOL! She looks like a typical Russian troll to me!

Great article posted yesterday on this whole subject.
You need to read this to take off the rose colored glasses.

Putin is no great Christian protector. He is kicking Christian missionaries and evangelical Russian Christians out. Russia is horribly corrupt. The Russians are torturing people in eastern Ukraine who resist the Russian takeover. We work with a Ukrainian missionary organization who is helping Ukranians who have fled the country. Children whose parents have been horribly tortured.
We know these missionaries, have worked with them for years and years and what they have seen in the hospitals and on the streets of Ukraine as a result of barbaric treatment of the Ukranians is just terrible.
Putin only worries about drunk Russians (who don't even show up to church services) who are members of the Russian Orthodox Church. Otherwise, he orders you killed. See this thread on the targeting of Protestants in Ukraine (Catholics are also being targeted, but this news article does not discuss it):

Here is a useful post by Daniel that discusses general persecution occurring in Russia (post 36 if it doesn't take you to it right away):

The reverse is the real truth! Actually, the Russian military was already in South Ossetia before anything happened. Russian troops dressed as "separatists" were launching rockets at Georgian cities. The Russian army was also, conveniently, on a large scale "training exercise". When the Georgians took the bait, the Russian army poured in. I still remember the photographs I saw of Georgians cut to pieces probably from helicopter fire. One half of the body here, another half of the body there.
Media Pyramids, funded Shadow Organizations, Secret Journalist groups, with some getting paid, paid internet posters.
It sounds just like the Obama Campaign!
Building a nuclear power plant = Helping Iran get the bomb. Iran doesn't need nuclear energy. It's awash in oil.
Sounds like you. You're suspect number one on the sleeper troll list. Some other posters might just be dummy PaulBots and the like. But, you are such a liar, even lying about posters on this forum, that you are either a sociopath of some kind or a Russkie sleeper troll. I am okay with either conclusion, however.
Putin has a very tight reign on the Russian media, he can make them believe anything
lol...
You’re a funny troll.
Where is his outrage at the Russian regulars, er, Russian irregulars, er, Ukrainian militants (ya, that's the ticket!) brutalizing and killing evangelicals?

Ah, but of course, CBN is lying. Just forget that the Russian Orthodox Church was a branch of the KGB for decades and the Pootie was a KGB man. Nothing to see here, of course!
Yea right, all 140 million of them.
Meanwhile, the Islamists, in the millions, undercover of a religion, are on the march, with infidels like us, all over (including Russia), are being killed by the hundreds each week.
Where are your priorities? Russia is an natural ally in this battle, proved by aiding us in Afghan.
Maybe you meant to say "including Ukraine". Here are some Islamics sent into Ukraine by the Russkies. Note the "No God but Allah" Islamic handsign from the guy in the back:
Here’s another blow for you. Long time KGB involvement (still onwards to today) with Islamic terrorists. It is not a coincidence that the Russkies support Iran and Syria (which in turn supports Hizbollah) against the Jews:
From Alexander Litvinenko, FSB defector who was poisoned with Polonium 210 awhile back in London. His poisoner is still at large. The Russians refuse to extradite the only suspect. He talks about international terrorism, including the claim that Al-Qaeda’s number 2 (now number 1, with Osama’s death) is an agent of the FSB:
A. Litvinenko: The bloodiest terrorists in the world were or are agents of the KGB-FSB. These are well-known, like Carlos Ilyich Ramiros, nicknamed “the Jackal,” the late Yassir Arafat, Saddam Hussein, Adjalan (he is condemned in Turkey), Wadi Haddad, the head of the service of external operations of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Hauyi, the head of the communist party of Lebanon, Mr. Papaionnu from the Cyprus, Sean Garland from Ireland and many others. All of them were trained by the KGB, received money from there, weapons and explosives, counterfeit documents and a communication equipment for carrying out of acts of terrorism worldwide.
FAKT: Some may object that each of the listed figures, and the forces supporting them, were engaged in solving their own political problems.
A. Litvinenko: Certainly, all these figures and movements operated under their own slogans; however, none of them especially hid their “intimate” ... relationship with the Kremlin and Lubyanka. There is a simple question: whether the Russian special services would train and finance people and groups that were not supervised by Lubyanka and did not serve the interests of the Kremlin? You understand perfectly, they would not. Each act of terrorism made by these people was carried out as an assignment and under the rigid control of the KGB of the USSR. And [the terrorism] ... is not casual after the disintegration of the USSR and [reform of the KGB]....
FAKT: Every terrorist you have named is from ‘the old staff’ of the KGB. Could you name someone from recent history?
A. Litvinenko: Certainly, here it is. The number two person in the terrorist organization al Qaeda, who they are crediting with the series of explosions in London, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is an old agent of the FSB. Being sentenced to death in Egypt for terrorism and hunted by Interpol, Ayman al-Zawahiri, in 1998, was in the territory of Dagestan, where for half a year he received special training at one of the educational bases of the FSB. After this training he was transferred to Afghanistan, where he had never been before and where, following the recommendation of his Lubyanka chiefs, he at once ... penetrated the milieu of bin Laden and soon became his assistant in al Qaeda.
FAKT: Could you hint at least, where this data comes from?
A. Litvinenko: I can. During my service in one of the most secret departments of the FSB, top officials from the UFSB of Dagestan, who had directly worked with Ayman al-Zawahiri ... were called to Moscow and received high posts.”
