And in a vivid display of just how far self-hating Americans will go to smear their own country, look no further than this quickly infamous leftist-generated so-called CIA report. Its title as bequeathed by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence: Committee Study of the Central Intelligence Agency's Detention and Interrogation Program.

Hillary also lectures us (with much relish) don't let anybody tell you that corporations and businesses create jobs.
Rick Perry has a different take and Texas has a different economy.
Sorry, but I really, really dislike the “self-hating” expression.
You will search far and wide without finding people who have a higher opinion of themselves and those who agree with them than these supposed “self-haters.” Much of their high opinion of themselves being in fact based on their hatred for America, which by definition excludes them from any inclusion in that hate.
Call them “America-hating Americans” if you like, that’s accurate. But they’re not self-hating at all.
why aren’t these traitors in jail? maybe true Americans should do a Ferguson on them and show up at their homes and offices and start a peaceful demonstration. they don’t seem to mind the looting and rioting in Ferguson. It doesn’t seem to bother them very much in fact a lot of them are probably all for it. So maybe they wouldn’t mind if we did the same thing in their neighborhoods and in their work locations. Just an idea.
why don’t we just call them exactly what they are. Traitors, liars and Scumbags. They make me sick!
The press has no trouble coming down hard on “protestors” with whom they disagree.
Remember how those in CA who protested the shipment of illegal alien “children” into their city were portrayed.
They were the rebirth of racist lynch mobs.
Isn’t it odd that the term “mob” is never used of protesting groups when the press agrees with their protest?
Maybe Hillary and Bill will buy back James Foley body from ISIS for a Million Dollars that would be a start.
There are four things about this whole story, which leave you with some odd reality.
First, for all this Senate control over the CIA...during this entire period...various meetings and information put forward, and the Senate never once stopped things for a moment and said we’ve got ethics and you can’t physically torture this guy? Either the Senators are totally asleep or incompetent...and by putting this report out there...they basically admit this. As bad as they make the CIA and Bush Administration look...the senate of that era looks just as bad.
Second, the military handbook for interrogations from the 1950s all the way up through most of this era...always allows some form of interrogation, but no torture. You can read up on the lessons from the WW II era and what the Nazis themselves said (physical torture gives you unreliable info). Oddly enough, the CIA (the intellectual guys) went the exact opposite way....saying that the Nazis were wrong, and they could improve upon physical torture. We have two groups with entirely different views of the end-result.
Third, once you put all of this onto paper...are you willing to hand the hundred to thousand guys over to a UN war-crimes episode? If you aren’t....you look awful foolish around the world. If you were handing them over...what state or federal law will you use to export these guys to Brussels? As these Senate intellectuals seem to always want the high-road...seems to me that some of them, by being connected to the oversight committees...would have to go onto Brussels as well, as part of the war-crimes tribunal.
Finally, I come to this odd deal of the past six years....drone executions in non-war-zones. Basically, it’s illegal too....by the UN standards. Who ordered these executions? The President. Will a Senate committee in 2015 open up a five-years investigation to determine what was done, who authorized what, and seek to publish a report in 2020 over new war-crimes for a Nobel Prize winner? Hmmm...it’d be the logical next step to take.
My general take? Three-thousand-odd Americans were tortured in a pretty quick way on 9-11, and given no real protection by anyone, by any rules of law, or human rights. No one....absolutely no one... will run up a UN commission or court on their rights violated. That says something pretty bold, in my humble opinion.
How many things have done after the November Elections?
1. Obama's amnesty Plan.
Diane Feinstien releasing her report.
If the America's favor these actions do them before the elections.
Pure Politics
There are few thinks that do more to rub my fur the wrong way than the screeds of the self-righteous! Senator Feinstein and her fellow Democrats have thrown away the context surrounding the acts of which they disapprove, willingly blinded themselves to contradiction by refusing to even listen to contradictory testimony and used this ‘lame duck’ Senate session to foul the nest for CIA and other US Intelligence operations for years to come.
Their intellectual predecessor, Senator Frank Church, did much the same in the 1970s and the loss of personal intelligence and human agents from that attack was damaging even unto this date. Spying and sabotage is an inherently dark and secret act yet to refuse the ability is to willingly disarm oneself in front of ones enemies.
The organized setup of our CIA and allied agencies was to be led by the Executive (Presidential) and overseen by the Legislative (Congressional) with the latter having the power of the purse for ultimate restraint. It is one thing for Senator DiFi to want a pristine and utopian world where the CIA et al would be rainbows and sugarplums, it is a betrayal of her duties to rain ruin upon people doing things she approves of a decade earlier but now finds politically uncomfortable.
Here’s my biggest problem with the issue.
As I understand it, the administration went to their in-house attorneys to get a definition of “torture” that would allow them to do what they wanted to the prisoners.
The attorneys of course produced what they wanted. (You can argue separately about whether their defintions were accurate or legal.)
Then the administration produced new policies, and guys in the field implemented them.
The attorneys claim they’re not responsible because they only produced an opinion.
The policy guys aren’t responsible because they simply followed advice of counsel.
The field guys can’t be held accountable since they were only following policy set by their leaders on advice of counsel.
Which means nobody can be held accountable for the policy or actions taken under it.
That’s seriously disturbing from the rule of law perspective.
I’m not addressing at this point whether the policies were effective or “legal,” simply the diffusion of responsibility that this method of approaching things creates.
Jeffery Lord used it expressly because he ties this attitude to "Self-hating Jews." The moderator edited what I'd posted that made that clear.
I wish all sides could address three issues separately:
1. Was this really “torture?” Obviously interrogation methods are on a spectrum from politeness to hot irons. Somewhere on that spectrum it crosses into being torture. Yet most discussion seems to take the location of that line for granted.
2. Does it work? That should be able to be determined by actual results.
3. Is it right? Are there any circumstances under which it should be done even though we agree it isn’t right?
The conflation of these three quite separate issues makes reasonable discussion impossible.
Don’t like the expression “self-hating Jews” either.
My limited experience with them is that they have a pretty high opinion of themselves. They just despise other Jews.
If making a terrorist mewl like a baby so he spills his plans, does that constitute torture?
This is one case where you do not have to dance around a patently false ethical dilemma.
With a bad guy, no dilemma exists about coercing him in order to save Americans.
If liberals have a problem with that, they’re already beyond help.
I do hope people realize this entire report WAS WRITTEN BY THE STAFF OF THE DEMOCRAT SENATORS.
So .. even in their treachery, they are too cowardly to do the report themselves, and instead let their radical left-wing staff members do the dirty work.
As for my senator, Ms. Finestein - I have one comment: WE DEMAND YOU RESIGN; YOU ARE A TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT TO YOUR STATE. This state houses some of the most elite military groups in the world, and you just threw them under the bus, putting the citizens of this State in jeopardy of attack. This is outrageous and unforgiveable.
Amen.
DiFi has really lost it in her dotage. Her condition is worse than Alzheimers; its tantamount to treason.
Is this DiFi’s and the rest of her leftist colleagues reaction to losing the November elections, and in her case, losing the majority in the senate? Throwing America’s national security apparatus under the bus and putting the nation at risk is an awful high price for a Democratic Party hissy fit. It proves once again that while most Americans put country ahead of their political party the Democrats put party ahead of the nation. Thank God none of these treacherous and traitorous Democrats were alive at the time of our independence. Can you imagine the crap Harry Reid, DiFi, and the other leftists would be doing to George Washington?
Obama has appointed two of Feinswine’s “torturers” to head the CIA and FBI. The Democrats are obviously crazy. Would electing Hillary help this condition? No.
what has been left out of all coverage is that this report seems to contain nothing new. the allegations about prisoner abuse came out during the abu grahab mess, and the rumors about cia interrogations at secret locations came out shortly afterward.
