A YouTube video of a Texas professor comparing the rise of the tea party in the United States to the rise of the Nazi Party in 1930s Germany has drawn criticism from conservatives online.
In the video, filmed during a Nov. 17 lecture, Blake Armstrong

They don’t really teach history anymore, so “professors” like this (sadly not so uncommon fellow) just spew their stupidity and political propaganda to minds full of mush.
The comments to the linked article are instructive.
And as usual, the ones commenting on how the Tea Party are teabaggers and haters - old white people who don’t know what they don’t know - are the ones who sound so uncivil and hateful.
>>To be an American Nationalist is to support the innate rights of human beings as superior to government.
Yes and no. American Nationalism is the notion that being an American is something special. One of the reasons is the one that you mentioned. The fact that there is no ethnicity or ancestry that makes you “American” is another big part of that specialness. A first generation naturalized citizen is as American as person who can trace their roots back to the Mayflower.
The transnational communists in our government do not believe that—any of it—so the Tea Party is a nationalist (nationalist in the American sense of the word) entity created to combat them.
Pity so few people understand that.
Anyone who promotes abortion is like a nazi
54,000,000 innocent children killed by their own mothers in this country since 1973, that’s fifty four million. Babies.
Hitler only dreamed of that
I am certain that one cannot get tenure at one of 99 % of American universities with a pro life thought, record, friend, relative
That’s closer to naziism than any other cultural practice
How these monsters will fare in history when men stop enjoying the hedonism of no strings attached and we all come to our senses by choice or by Gods force, will not be good
Proves their stupidity. Proves our own for letting our kids not only get exposed to this but for paying them
yup
those folks looking for fiscal responsibility, lower spending, lower taxes and smaller government are just like the nazis
seriously, how anyone can listen to members of the left and not think they are mentally deranged is beyond me
If only!
Maybe in a few years.
Gee, I had no idea Nazis were that supportive of the US Constitution.
Oh the irony. The Tea Party was formed in direct response to the corporate welfare and crony Capitalism that came out of the end of the Bush Administration and the beginning of the Obama Administration. One of the main tenants of Nazism is crony Capitalism.
The Socialists in the democrat party love to call the TEA party “Nazi” (which stands for the “National Socialst” party in germany)
The irony is missed on them
“Psychology” professor. The fool probably went into psychology to figure out his mental problems. I believe his background holds many surprises...and probably perverted behaviors.
His analogy at first has some small merrit comparing small groups that get more support over time. As his comments continued to make the equivocation that both nazi and tea were crazy then he stepped well beyond a conceptual metaphor and applied the time honored concept of defamation.
First, kill all the journalists?
If the Tea Party were even remotely like the Nazi’s, Lois Lerner would not be safe walking her dog.
The Bolshecrats are closer to the Nazis than the TEA Party. The only thing that differs between the two totalitarian groups, is Jews are still members of the Bolshecrats.
There aren’t that many journalists left. They have been marginalized and pushed aside by the propagandists.
Couuuuld Beeeee...
Whatever this brilliant professor gets paid: it’s too much.

....Although the topic of human sexuality is often viewed as taboo, the changing attitudes about sexual practices and beliefs reveal a great deal about societal norms and human behavior.
