To be fair, “mom and pop” or not, false advertising is false advertising. Not having the budget to update the website is no excuse. The prof might be an ass, but you can’t falsely advertise, intentionally or not.

Exactly!

The restaurant owner admits that he has been deliberately and knowingly charging online customers one dollar more than the advertised price for each and every item, "for quite some time." That is theft and fraud, and it is illegal.
