The idea behind releasing this information is to create hostility or the perception of hostility against Americans thus increasing the likelihood of an attack. An attack could come from real terrorists or more likely staged by federal operatives.
The concept s always the same; give the federal government more money and control in the name of protecting the public. More government power, less personal freedom.
