WASHINGTON Large numbers of doctors who are listed as serving Medicaid patients are not available to treat them, federal investigators said in a new report.
Half of providers could not offer appointments to enrollees, the investigators said in the report, which will be issued on Tuesday.
Many of the doctors were not accepting new Medicaid patients or could not be found at their last known addresses, according to the report from the inspector general of the Department of Health and Human Services. The study raises questions about access to care for people gaining Medicaid coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
More than one-third of providers could not be found at the location listed by a Medicaid managed-care plan.
About 8 percent of providers were at the locations listed, but said they did not participate in the Medicaid health plan with which they were supposedly affiliated. Another 8 percent participated in Medicaid, but were not accepting new patients.

Maybe they went out of business...
” unexpected”
It will eventually be illegal for any doctor to move without informing the Federal Government of their plans.
It will eventually be mandatory for any doctor to register with the sheriff’s department whenever they move.
Whoops!
Expect this....legal REQUIREMENTS that they treat Medicaid patients in order to maintain their medical license.
So easy to read these people.

Easy for us, no to many others, sad to say.
Have they tried St. Thomas or st. Kitts? Hundreds of doctors are enjoying retirement instead of working for Obama for a fraction of their previous income.
They refuse to work for nothing and have all the same liability to their assets.
At some point I expect an Obama Executive order that states doctors MUST do this as the King says, but many will just retire or disregard the order.
Mine did.
When you see a lot more middle aged white guys driving cabs you will know why.
If it is a private cab they own, yes. If it is a company business you will need to speak either English, Spanish or Korean based on where you drive.
St. Kitts
