Berkeley Protesters Block Highway, Stop Train

rotests against the grand jury decisions not to indict the police officers who killed Michael Brown and Eric Garner continued for a third consecutive night in Berkeley, Calif., yesterday, with more than 1,000 people blocking traffic. Protesters thronged both sides of Interstate 80 as well as train tracks in the city, forcing an Amtrak train to halt, the AP reports. The protests had started as a peaceful march earlier in the day; the group chanted, "Who do you protect? Peaceful protest!" at the Berkeley Police Department as officers in riot gear kept them from getting near. Then protesters sat outside a Bay Area Rapid Transit train station, causing it to be shut down for a few hours, before the group splintered into smaller factions, some of which became disruptive.

Hey, just because many of those useful idiots are so ugly they can make a train take a dirt road, that doesn't mean they should literally try to prove that point. Future Darwin Award winners.

Will someone please explain how pi$$ing off commuters and people on urgent errands wins sympathy for a cause? These so-called “demonstrators” are nothing but spoiled brats who need a good a$$-whipping.

This is so ludicrous and so lacking in logic and common sense it’s hard to fathom. But so is the sick, twisted liberal mindset so never mind.

This was allowed to happen. This and worse will keep happening until the police or the public push back hard and keep pushing. This sort of caper is done by anarchists who value chaos for the sake of chaos. The protests are ‘peaceful’
for about the first 90 minutes, then the destroyers begin to destroy, fouling their own nests once again.

Place them in an enclosed white room, with a huge picture of Helen Thomas.

I call it the Train Ride ... He was ghost white pale after dodging the Train... It's a Long Hard Ride on the Front of a Train! Rather take a Cadillac Ride. It's a long hard ride on that train!

The answer is that it doesn’t help ones cause. It’s counterproductive, big time, but the professional agitators don’t care. It’s all about them.

That is the same thing that I often wonder.

A liberal-leaning friend near me had her typical 30-minute commute transform into a painful 4-hour ordeal the other afternoon due to people laying in the roadway. This also cost her dearly for "childcare overtime" fees. Needless to say, she is not feeling the love for the protestors any longer and resents that they cost her money, despite being sad for Eric Garner.

That is a huge mistake being made by the Garner and other loosely-affiliated protestors. Their protests have clearly begun to morph from peaceful marches into a frenzied, aggressive, anti-capitalism, anti-white, and anti-police mob.

Goodwill that they may have had is being squandered as once-sympathetic suburbanites watch the increasing anger and contemplate:
"Hey, wait a darn second. Those protestors are blaming ME and MY life, even though I didn't hurt anyone."

That is a certain way to lose momentum for a cause.

That is the whole point. Get the police to push back.

Then, the Feds can come in and take over. People will beg the government to 'fix' things. (which they won't, but when has that mattered?)

Does CA have fire ants? If not, time to introduce the species.
