ST. LOUIS • Dorian Johnson, who shot to fame as a witness to Michael Brown's fatal encounter with Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, has been hired to do work for the city of St. Louis.

Jeff Rainford, Mayor Francis Slay's chief of staff, has confirmed that Johnson was hired under a state grant through the city's Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE).

Officials said he is doing work for the city's parks department. The job, listed as a temporary position, pays about $8.50 an hour.

Rainford said Johnson met the low income eligibility requirements for the hiring.

Johnson, 22, was with Brown at Ferguson Market and Liquor when Brown stole a box of Swisher Sweets cigarillos and shoved a store employee. Johnson was walking with Brown when they were stopped in the street by Wilson....

” pays about $8.50 an hour. “

Of course, that will have to be changed to $15/hour to meet the new minimum wage laws.

Johnson was walking with Brown when they were stopped in the street by Wilson....and subsequently lied about the event, saying that Brown was shot while surrendering.

My addition for clarity.

I’ll give him 6 hrs on the job before he injures his back that will lead to SSI disability for life.

He will then sue the City...

I was about to post “This will last about a week”, but you are right. Actual work or even showing up is probably not required. Maybe he can sell dope at a city park and steal supplies.

Yes, but not in Ferguson now...Now they’re rewarding bad behavior...just as planned.

$8.50 won’t work for a thief. But you’re right. they do look for a reason not to work more times than not IMO.

Where I worked we had a guy who fell, of course, and now sits answering the telephone and perfectly content to do so.

Actually, this stinks. If it weren’t for the physical evidence, I would think there was at least an implicit quid pro quo.

That was yesterday. On November 4, 2008, a majority of those who cast their votes said, via their votes, they wanted to do away with the old and usher in a bold new world of hope and change. You are now and have been since that date witnessing it at work.

In the past, a case could be made of that. But in the age of hope and change, if one meets certain qualifications as to skin color, sex, and sexual orientation, rules or laws do not apply to you.

Maybe, bit probably the only time he comes near a park is to sell his drugs if it is a slow day on the corner. But, that is what St. Louis wants.

Remember, Dorian’s best friend was murdered in his car & set on fire the night of the no bill.

MeshugeMikey:" ah didnt johnsons presence at that crime scene as friend of the perp...make him sort of accomplice?"

He definately was an accomplice to a robbery, and later to the assault.
And what about the bracelet that Johnson was wearing at the sacene of the robbery, but was missing when he was interviewed by the Feds after the assault ?
Wasn't that bracelet found on the roadway ,just outside Wilson's passenger door ?
I believe that it was bagged and tagged as relevent to the assault / fatal shooting , thereby implying Johnson's role was less than passive and compliant.
Obviously , the FED takes care of those who help build up racial animous .

...shoved a store employee....

Brown’s manhandling of that little man was far more than just a shove.
