One teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate in four ounces of water ends my acid reflux in under ten seconds.

Any amount of sodium bicarbonate or other acid neutralizer or absorber has a suppressive effect on my reflux for a maximum of 45 seconds. Then back to the pain. Have to take a triple dose of a PPI instead.

Steve86, you may have something different than what I have, cause wise. I’m sorry it doesn’t work for you, but I’ve been told it doesn’t by people too.

Perhaps you can try the Apple Cider Vinegar or the Sugar remedy mentioned on this thread.

I just hate to see folks fork over big bucks unless they have to.

The Sodium Bicarb neutralizes acid. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for you, but you’re not the only one.
