Supporters of the bill wanted to pass it quickly, before Rush Limbaugh could tell the American people what was in it, Mr. Sessions said.

Killing amnesty in 2007 was an awesome display of Americans supporting Americans!

Trent Lot destroyed the last Republican held Senate by not passing anything worthwhile from the House. He has no business opening his mouth now.

But that was a time when we at least had a President who respected the rule of law and didn’t decide to declare Amnesty/immigration Reform a done deal without a vote from the people’s “representatives (phony though they are).”

Trent Lott is a HAS BEEN, and should just shut up, since he is no longer an elected “representative”.

And I'm in the well of the Senate with ... Ted Kennedy, Dianne Feinstein and Harry Reid... and we lost. You know, that was one of the most mind-boggling things. Boggles the mind all right.

I still believe Trent Lott’s surprise retirement announcement in December 2007 was connected to his broth-in-laws little legal problem. I will always believe Lott was somehow, someway involved with Dickie Scruggs’ bribing judges.
