‘Cultural Disconnect’ Led to New Republic Resignations (Libs Hit the Bricks)

Roughly two dozen staffers and contributing editors at The New Republic resigned on Friday as the result of what one of them described as an ugly cultural clash between a traditional journalistic institution and the Silicon Valley management style of its owner, a Facebook co-founder.

The exodus marks the second time in recent months that a media venture backed by a tech industry tycoon encountered resistance from journalists who bristled over management’s new approach.

In other words the owner wanted to make some money, for writers and editors to be responsible for circulation numbers, write articles that are not immediately disprovable by a Google search and be open to new ideas.

All of those things liberals are incapable of understanding or doing.

Any employee of dead tree media these days has to be bat spit crazy to walk out. They will never get another job in that medium.
