I’m in. Rogers has got to go.
Hal Rogers is a Chamber of Communist whore.
Yes, an excellent idea and long overdue.
Hal Rogers is as corrupt as they come.
Primary his a$$ out!
What did he do now? He used to be my rep...would be glad to see him go.
Is this the guy who said 0bola’s EO amnesty couldn’t be defunded by Congress because it falls under CIS?
I’m in also. But ONLY if a credible challenger is STOOD UP to primary him. And I don’t know about the Republican primary election rules. If they are anything other than “closed” primaries, that needs to be changed. And if only a plurality of votes in a general election yields the winner, that needs to change to requiring a majority with a run-off if needed (similar to Georgia). I’ve seen too many conservative Republicans lose general elections to a ‘RAT because of votes drained off by (frequently phony) losertarians put on the ticket for that purpose. Requiring a runoff in the absence of a majority will frequently correct that problem.
Why don’t we just give up and let Hannity, Ingraham, Levin and a few more people with radio and TV shows do all of our thinking for us? I don’t have a dog in the Hal Rodgers fight, but i’m dead set against buying their books and allowing them to brush me aside if it pleases them.
Republican, Libertarian or Democrat.
Can anyone give a short backgrounder on this guy? Never heard of him.
So I guess that you are a Hal Rogers supporter?
Did I not say that I didn’t have a dog in that fight? I do not know Hal Rodgers, do not live in his state, and frankly consider it to be the business of the voters in His state.
Thad Cochran of the house I guess. Not as liberal as McCain but a pork king and puppet of big business.

Frustrated Homeland Security officials had to endure a lengthy delay and pay $4 million for a comparison study to show that the technology they preferred was superior to the one required by Rogers.
As the new ID card was developed and tested, Rogers kept up his meddling. He required that the new-technology production sites be relocated in Kentucky, and he helped award millions of dollars in contracts to various Kentucky companies that had together donated around $100,000 to his political campaigns. One of these companies employed Rogerss son as a computer-systems administrator.
When Homeland Security officials decided that transportation workers would have to undergo background checks before being issued their new ID cards, Rogers again sprang into action. He stuck an earmark into an appropriations bill, mandating that a no-bid contract be given to the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) to handle the background-check operation at a price of tens of millions of dollars.

Rogers is a prolific vote buyer. Much of his district is ultra Republican, but also much of it is ultra-Democrat and he carries both areas in overwhelming majorities - the king of pork.
They renamed the Daniel Boone Parkway to the Hal Rogers Parkway...and he accepted the change.
Primaries in Kentucky are closed.
There is one alternative in the district that would actually be much worse - Democrat Greg Stumbo.
I don’t see this guy going anywhere no matter if a credible challenger appeared with a billion dollars...He’s literally an institution.
HOORAY Laura! Thanks for standing up, naming names and amplifying your conclusions. C’mon 2016
