If elected officials are being forced to side with leadership which favors allowing illegals to remain, what better excuse to vote as directed by the leadershop then to claim no one said they opposed obama’s action.

There is no way to know how many calls were made in opposition.

THE NUMBER OF THE CAPITOL SWITCHBOARD IS 202-224-3121!
You should call if only to hear the worst “Music on Hold” recording in the known universe! I guess they can’t afford a better system, huh??

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

After years of calls, emails, protesting, voting...continuing to speak to a brick wall, well.... (Not going to rant, not going to rant, not going to rant. Going to go take my blood pressure medicine.)

WRONGWRONGWRONG!!!!!I DID call. Again and again. And again. Not only my congressman, but also my senator and the congressional rep in the adjacent district. Got hung up on a few times by the one in the adjacent district. I think I heard the office person correctly — said they only needed to listen to people in their district. My rep and my senator’s call takers were pleasant, cordial. They always say they will tell the elected official what I said, but whether they really do or not.....I don’t know.

But it’s not working, is it?

Our own Republican elected officials don’t care what we want. Only what they want. Rush thinks they want the illegals for the lower wages.

We don’t matter and neither do our votes.

I didn’t make any calls because I don’t like hearing him or his staff laugh at me through the phone before telling me to f**k off and then hanging up!

This amnesty idea has been attempted over and over again since 2006. Every time it's been tried, the American public has called its representatives and they have listened. What you are saying is true, as long as we rise up and demand they stop, they stop.

Onyx and myself started a thread here during the attempts in 2012 to get people to call about the ridiculous senate amnesty bill. I have no illusions that we did anything but help with the eventual outcome: The truth is that Boehner tabled the bill, and did so because so many people called. They have done this more than four times since 2006, pressure does actually work, time and again.

Note those here that simply whine about Boehner (or the GOPE) and then tell us it won't help, it won't work, just do nothing and bitch on FR.

Note those people, they are your enemy as well, either through ignorance or purposeful malice. These people are the real version of the fictional Grima Wormtongue from the book Lord of the Rings and they are here every day.

It does no good to call, democrats lie about the callers and just ignore it, besides we are not a nation governed by phone calls, we are supposed to be governed by the rule of law and the US Constitution, however the system is so corrupt they ignore our laws and Constitution.

Now we have dictator ruling and making his own laws as he sees fit.

Calling a dictators office to complain only gets you laughed at, at most they only delay doing whatever they want when we aren’t watching.

Let me know when Erick decides to call upon his fellow conservative media outlets like NRO and Hot Air and tell them that they have no right to complain until they stop carrying Boehner and McConnell’s water and write editorials requesting the Boehner and McConnell step down from their positions. Why don’t you try that Mr. Red State. We working stiff conservatives do all we can to rattle the cages of GOP reps., but every time we do, the conservative media (Fox News, etc.), props up the failing GOP leadership.

I’ve emailed my Senators Jeff Sessions, Richard Shelby and my Congress Critter Mo Brooks. I think their names have been tossed around in the news on this issue. Not much more I can do but to tell them I support them 100%.

Or perhaps the reason the call volume is low is that “We The People”, having sent a strong message with the last election and hearing that the serial capitulation crew (GOP) is going to ignore that message and pursue illegal alien amnesty *anyway*, have lost all faith and confidence in our representatives.

And then there’s this: The plea for calls is coming from a political hack like Erickson — bearing in mind it would probably take a case of dynamite to pry him away from humping the GOP’s leg. I clued in on Erickson a few elections ago with his rabid support for RINOs. That was all I needed to know about him. I find him about as trustworthy as his dream-double-dates: Boehner and McConnell. So, consider the source.

Okay, what do you do when you live in California and your reps are the bluest of blue? They don’t give a rat’s patootie what I think. I’ve always been told that it’s a waste of time to call any reps other than your own, because they only care what their own constituents think. Suggestions for whom to call? Thanks!

Americans have signaled, shouted and snapped at congress repeatedly and for years. They know how we feel. How many times are they going to require hearing us demand they enforce our laws and rid the Nation of the invaders?

It’s been mentioned here congressional voicemail boxes are full. People who do call anymore are undoubtedly left more frustrated than before they called.

So Erick Erickson took on the martyr’s mantle and whined that people ought to just shut up about amnesty if we’re not going to make use of the easy way he provided for us to contact Congress.

Don’t tell Erick but Congress has been laughing at us for years and if anyone really believes the solution lies in political lies, they are suffering from a terminal case of naivete that will eventually kill us.

The over represented views of socialists and assorted leftists notwithstanding, I don’t think of most Americans as lazy and stupid. People belonging to the various Republican party controlled factions of the TEA party may be denser than most, but not real down in the dirt Americans, the Country before Party crowd.

They obviously caught on to the current rules of the game a while ago. Before the Chik-fil-A vote. I’m thinking this past election was what alarmed Americans considered the last chance; what we’ve heard lately from the Republican leadership could be the last straw. Americans know the likelihood of an end coming and it doesn’t look like an end to Amnesty.

We don’t need people like Erick Eickson to add their mockery to that which comes from the criminal political class.

The House is bigger and this is a trial run. Obama’s already deployed many stages of his amnesty.

The main reason they want to do it now is because Boehner won’t even try to stop it with a GOP Congress.

Erickson’s too busy telling everybody what a great conservative Johnny Isaakson is.
