You know why? Because you did not do the one thing that could stop it. You did not call your congressman despite me making it very easy for you to do so.
I’m in Washington, D.C. right now. Last night I had several members of congress tell me that they’re barely hearing from anybody.
So stop your bellyaching about amnesty if you can’t even be bothered to call.
If you aren’t willing to call your congressman and demand he defund amnesty, stop bellyaching about it. Otherwise call now.

Hal Rogers is trying to get the 4-9 million ID card contract to General Dynamics in Kentucky. Zero is already hiring 1000 people to process illegal’s amnesty applications in Virginia.

I was on some insurance site a month or so ago, and they had NOTHING. I thought I’d been disconnected. Waiting about a minute just to be sure, and then someone came on the phone. Canned telephone music is awful, but no sound isn’t user friendly. I’d have it tuned to an easy listening/golden oldie channel and have them play away.

WRONGWRONGWRONG!!!!!I DID call. Again and again. And again. Not only my congressman, but also my senator and the congressional rep in the adjacent district. Got hung up on a few times by the one in the adjacent district. I think I heard the office person correctly — said they only needed to listen to people in their district. My rep and my senator’s call takers were pleasant, cordial. They always say they will tell the elected official what I said, but whether they really do or not.....I don’t know.
But it’s not working, is it?
Our own Republican elected officials don’t care what we want. Only what they want. Rush thinks they want the illegals for the lower wages.
We don’t matter and neither do our votes.
I don’t know if Eric is right or wrong about the calls. I emailed my rep this morning and told him basically that if the House cannot even pass a budget with a rider forbidding Obama from funding the 1000 new workers to process work permits and SS#’s for illegals then what good was the election?
I believe that many people have viewed the GOP leadership’s attitude since the election and apathy has set in. Its like why did we even bother to vote? Why bother to call or email since it does no good. That’s my take on it.
I didn’t make any calls because I don’t like hearing him or his staff laugh at me through the phone before telling me to f**k off and then hanging up!
The people in Eric Cantor’s district probably called, and called, and called.... then they REALLY called. Seems the only viable solution at this point.
Onyx and myself started a thread here during the attempts in 2012 to get people to call about the ridiculous senate amnesty bill. I have no illusions that we did anything but help with the eventual outcome: The truth is that Boehner tabled the bill, and did so because so many people called. They have done this more than four times since 2006, pressure does actually work, time and again.
Note those here that simply whine about Boehner (or the GOPE) and then tell us it won't help, it won't work, just do nothing and bitch on FR.

I called my Congressman’s office about a week ago and promised them that if he and the rest of the Republicans didn’t do something about this that I would begin circulating recall petitions for him! We didn’t put him and the rest of the Republicans in charge of both houses just for them to get along with Obama. He must be stopped NOW!
It does no good to call, democrats lie about the callers and just ignore it, besides we are not a nation governed by phone calls, we are supposed to be governed by the rule of law and the US Constitution, however the system is so corrupt they ignore our laws and Constitution.
Now we have dictator ruling and making his own laws as he sees fit.
Calling a dictators office to complain only gets you laughed at, at most they only delay doing whatever they want when we aren’t watching.

Yes you are probably right. Our rep here in the 7th Dist of GA is Rob Woodall and we voted him back in again last month. He does a lot of good stuff for GA and for Gwinnett County but if he does not get a little tougher on his voting we are not going to vote for him again. He is too worried IMO about pleasing Boehner and keeping his committee assignment to suit me.
I am watching to see how he votes on this appropriations bill.
I am sick to death of having to call on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE! I expect them to do what’s right without massive calling to prod them in the right direction every single time.
I did sentd Kevin Mx Carthy an eat crap and die email yesterday. It won’t make any difference but it made me feel better.
My daughters best friend helped get a Democrat elected to the assembly in California then went to Sacramento to work for her. Later she came to one of our bbqs and I asked what she was doing and she said answering phones and emails. I said so do you tabulate the number of calls on issues....no. What do you do with emails, tab them? No..delete delete delete.
That’s when I knew we had lost.
