That’s an oversized grocery-getter, not a truck. It’s not a real truck until you can lay a quarter-ton of 4x8 drywall flat on the bed, or not have a conniption when your wet and muddy Labrador jumps into the front seat.
I’d maybe think about a long bed if it had a short cab - maybe. But a short bed WITH a king cab or back seat, no way. Too long, bad turn radius and can’t haul a lot.
I’ve always had short beds, regular cabs. Turn radius on my F150 is great! BTW, I quit worrying about sheetrock and plywood when I had an accident in 86 where near a ton of it fell over on me and messed up my legs good.
Its a smaller truck.
Not every one is looking for a large hauler. Nothing with a big truck but some people find it overkill.
They are whom the Chevy Colorado finds a market.
There's a lot to be said for a vinyl bench seat and rubber floor mats.
