Pyongyang actively produced and trafficked drugs for years, say experts, but there has been a shift towards tolerating smaller scale, privatised operations

Just call him North Koreas Walter White: a struggling professor who turned to making methamphetamine, or crystal meth, to supplement his modest income - and who is likely to have found ready conspirators in gangs from across the border in China.
Defectors and North Koreans working illicitly abroad say a large-scale drug trade has flooded north-east China with cheap narcotics, to the anger of Beijing.
North Korea describes such accusations as political smears: The illegal use, trafficking and production of drugs which reduce human beings into mental cripples do not exist in the DPRK, the state news agency, KCNA, said last year.
But experts argue that the state itself has actively produced and trafficked illegal drugs for decades, and has since either tolerated or failed to control manufacturers such as the professor, who was mentioned in a report by North Korea expert Andrei Lankov (paywall) this year.

"I dunno ... probably Kim, I guess. Maybe Park. Maybe Lee."
Oh dayum, that was funny...!!
But are they doing it in run-down RVs? Or under a Korean laundry?
Is it blue?
On Drugs Inc. they had blue meth made by the Sinaloa cartel and they showed its making, its movement across Mexico, across the border and its distribution in the United States. If you can DVR it is Super Meth on the National Geographic channel.
So Chia Chub is Walter White of north korea

Life Below Zero is great. Both shows are in my top five but I hardly watch TV anymore.
There was a very strange article some time ago describing the prevalence of meth inside North Korea. Apparently methamphetamine is so common there, it’s almost like table sugar elsewhere, and is commonly offered to house guests as a casual pick-me-up and to relieve the pangs of hunger. NK is off the charts messed up. Many years ago I read a US dept state publication that asserted that NK officials commonly traffic drugs in diplomatic pouches for “quick cash” while travelling abroad. Should have nuked p’yongyang sixty years ago.
Any word Jesse from Breaking Bad got appoint as govet official yet probably in North Korea regime world
Uh oh, better call Sal-san!
The Norks have the crystal meth trade covered tight in about all of Asia and have moved into Africa, the Mid-East and Europe. Keeps those factory workers awake at their jobs.
