JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KTVI) Were looking deeper into the criminal cases against a witness in the Michael Brown shooting.
Dorian Johnson pleaded guilty to lying to police in a 2011 theft case and a warrant still remains for his arrest. FOX2s Chris Hayes went to Jefferson City to talk to a man who says he caught Johnson stealing and then listened to his repeated lies.
It started behind the Jefferson City YMCA, where Kelly Lewis, a maintenance man said he saw someone, later identified as Dorian Johnson, carrying a FedEx box from a nearby apartment complex.
He picked the package up off D section, which I knew the lady that lived there, so I knew it wasnt his package, Lewis said.
Lewis said he followed and called police as he watched Johnson dump the box behind the YMCA.
A Jefferson City police report documents 19-year-old Dorian Johnson saying his name was Derrick, then claiming he was 16. Police said he then gave a date of birth which would mean he was 17″ and told police he had no identification.
Lewis remembered, He never told them the truth, and described watching the runaround for about one hour.
I looked down at his sock. I remember thats where people carry IDs, Lewis said. I told the police officer that. I said I think his ID is in his sock, so the police officer checked it. He got out his ID and found out who he was.
The Lincoln University student ID reportedly read Dorian J. Johnson, but the police report states Johnson said he was holding the ID card for someone else.
To me it was a just a petty little thing that if he wouldve just stood up and told the truth, it wouldve been over, Lewis said.
The police report shows it continued at the jail where Johnson signed a court summons with his false name Derrick. Then a Lincoln University police officer reportedly walked in the room. The report states, Due to previous contacts with Johnson, he immediately recognized him as Dorian J. Johnson.
Johnson pleaded guilty to making false statements. The theft case remains open with an active arrest warrant for failing to appear.
Johnsons attorney, Freeman Bosley Jr., declined to respond on camera, but wrote that his clients reported deception has ..nothing to do with a police officer shooting an unarmed man six times, two times in the head. This is called using excessive force.
Bosley Jr. added that hes filed an appearance on behalf of Johnson in Jefferson City, asking for a Judge to recall the arrest warrant.
Its unclear if this could impact the Michael Brown shooting investigation. Other witnesses, including Piaget Crenshaw, also described Brown putting his hands up before a Ferguson officer shot him.
One unnamed witness, overheard in a YouTube video, appears to describe Brown coming towards the officer during the shooting. Since it appears nothing was captured on camera, jurors will be relying solely on who they believe, along with the physical evidence.
He's also as incompetent as "his" president and Attorney General, and should be permanently disbarred (an affirmative action attorney?)What is this crap?
...Johnsons attorney, Freeman Bosley Jr.,, ...wrote "that his clients reported deception has nothing to do with a police officer shooting an unarmed man six times, two times in the head. This is called using excessive force.
No one claimed that it did! Totally irrelevant to the challenge to his veracity as documented in his previous arrest, and failure to appear.
I'm no lawyer, but is a second grader's grasp of total non-sequiturs and irrelevancies normal to expect from a presumably licensed attorney?
Absolutely!
Since he and the killer giant were stopped together, he was the first to spin a fanciful (and self-serving) version of events. Then repeated it endlessly until the evidence and other more adult witnesses embarrassingly proved all his statements to be total lies.
You decide.
Unfortunately the 80% in certain communities who lie, steal, kill, rape and mug spoils it for honest 20%, who, sadly, live in perpetual denial about their drug-dealing and using little kids, who will eventually die at the hands of a thug badder than themselves, of by a police officer doing his job.
And they will scream, assault and even kill you because that's the only way they know to resolve conflicts and different perceptions of reality.
Shouldn’t that say Dorian Johnson liar hands down?
What is also probably correct, is that this same Dorian Johnson reportedly communicated a heightened level of concern for his emotional health and physical safety when he found out that a young black man, DeAndre Joshua, was found shot dead and by some reports “burned” (extent unknown at this time)in his car early Tuesday AM, after the heights of the violent riots in Ferguson.
The murder of DeAndre Joshua is being studiously under reported by all major media outlets.
Probably not related to the narrative.../SARCASM
The GrandJury Transcripts were recently posted online. I don’t have a link. It is a major problem that this person testified at a Grand Jury while having a Warrant pending against him. The upside is that his testimony was so ptiful that no one could possibly believe a word he said.
Not the way Dorian described it to the Grand Jury.

Dorian’s Grand Jury testimony. His account of his arrest is nothing like being described by this witness.
Link to grand Jury transcripts, including Dorian Johnson.

Pge 171 of Dorian’s Testimony refers to this “arrest”.

I think you mean Dorian Johnson. That poster had me confused, too.
I read his testimony yesterday. I think the legal term of his account of his arrest to the grand jury is he lied his arse off.
that pretty much sums it up
Dorian “dead man walking” Johnson
I guess that explains the immediate eviction letter I served on Bosley's N. 10th Street office in Dec. 2012.
"Officials say it appears an accelerant was used in an attempt to light Joshua's body on fire. The attempt was partially successful, however the fire apparently went out on its own, according to police.Joshua sustained severe burns to his arm, fingers and both legs, according to police. His body had apparently been in the car for several hours before it was discovered, police said.
You're obviously not a lawyer!
