Schumer’s probably one of the few people who can get away with saying something like this. Obama & his handlers would settle the hash of most others. But Schumer is secure, and is evidently concerned about the increasing unpopularity of Obamacare.
It’s just very interesting that he would admit a mistake at all, even if it’s just in the order in which the Dems acted. I have thought since the midterms that the polls are off by at least 5 points. I.e.: that’s roughly what they were off on the eve of the election, in favor of Dems and against GOPers. The methodology was not modified, however. So whatever you see—such as Obamacare 39% favorable, or Obama 41% favorable—subtract 5 or 6 pts from it, and it’s probably more accurate.
I.e.: Schumer has reason to panic, and this admission, however slight, is evidence that he knows it.
