Senator Chuck Schumer of New York said Tuesday that he and his fellow Democrats made a mistake in pursuing health care legislation that eventually became Obamacare. Bloomberg Politics's Kathleen Hunter has the story:
“Unfortunately, Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them” in electing Obama and a Democratic Congress in 2008 amid a national recession, Schumer of New York said in a speech in Washington. “We took their mandate and put all our focus on the wrong problem -- health care reform.”
Democrats should have addressed issues aiding the middle class to build confidence among voters before turning to the health-care system overhaul, Schumer said. He spoke at the National Press Club to analyze the results of this month’s election, when Republicans took control of the Senate and increased their majority in the House of Representatives.
Schumer also said Democrats should "embrace government" in order to win future elections. Watch the whole speech here, courtesy of C-SPAN.

He didn’t admit ObamaCare was a mistake, he simply admitted they should have done other things first.... don’t confuse what he said with the headline the editor wrote.
All he said is they focused on it at the wrong time... not that they did the wrong thing. He won’t change his vote.
Schmucky, I’m so glad you said it was a mistake. However, you had no mandate. You barely had a majority, and only for 2 years.

Well, Chuck, if you believe that, then get 14 of your senators to vote against, and get enough to override a veto by obama, and correct the mess you created. Repeal it, if you really mean it. You already have 54 votes as of Jan 6, 2015. Now get the few other votes you need and override this steaming pile you created with democrats votes ONLY. Until you do that you are just a liar who is afraid of losing his job.

Schumer sucked when he was a representative, and he has sucked while being a senator. He is one opportunistic sucker, nothing more.

1. What's in it for him? You know he wants something. Possibly he wants another opportunity to shake down insurers, drug companies, hospital corporations, and the AMA?
2. At what point in the process will he stab conservatives in the back? It's coming. After all, he's a schmuck.
