The Rev. Al Sharpton has always been keen to maintain his reputation as the least plausible cleric since Elmer Gantry.
The racial tension and riots in Ferguson, Mo. have proved to be the perfect vehicle to do just that.
Not just satisfied with creating unrest in one beleaguered Missouri city, though, the “Reverend” is looking to go national with his “peaceful protests” that worked out so well in Ferguson.
With that, Sharpton’s group, the National Action Network (NAN) has put out a list of national protest sites, because apparently just one city experiencing hellish violence and racial strife just isn’t enough. [H/T Gateway Pundit.]
“In anticipation of the impending grand jury decision in Ferguson, MO, National Action Network (NAN) Chapters are encouraging community members to join them when it is announced,” the statement reads.
“Regardless of what the decision is, NAN chapters in over 20 cities around the country will gather.” So you lose either way.
If Officer Wilson is indicted, the release says, the protests “will focus on what would be a teaching moment on how to deal with national legislation for policing.”
I had personally thought the unctuous, condescending, leaden idiom “teaching moment” had been retired, but apparently it still lives on in the lexicon of the professionally-offended.
“If the Ferguson grand jury decision clears him of criminal charges then NAN will call for protests to remain peaceful and for the federal government to come in with a federal grand jury to move for civil rights charges on excessive force,” it continues.
Yes, just like the “peaceful” protests that Sharpton and other leaders have led in Ferguson up until now..
Given their previous success at keeping their civil disobedience peaceful in Ferguson, you might think that Sharpton and his compatriots might have decided to forego these mass gatherings this time, but no, they’re going to keep right at it.
We all know that when Al Sharpton uses the phrase “peaceful protest,” it’s done with a nudge and a wink.
It’s an meaningless blanket get-out-of-jail-free card meant to keep him out of trouble when these race baiting spectacles inevitably spiral out of control.
It seems that Sharpton seems to sense the writing on the wall as to how the grand jury will go.
This week, Sharpton wrote a piece in the New York Times, suggesting that we do away with the grand jury process (at least in cases like Officer Wilson’s), and merely take the person to jury trial.
Because if the facts don’t work out in your favor, change the rules. And if that doesn’t work, break stuff.

The geniuses of geography with our national news media put Charlotte in South Carolina half the time. NYT even sent a reporter down to cover the legendary barbecue "war" between eastern and western styles, to SC. They're utterly clueless once they get out of that stinking pile of bricks and go into the hinterlands. Proud of it, too. Most would call that ignorant provincialism.
Not if the “inciter” is black and the determiner of any federal violation is Eric “I Hate White People” Holder (aka friends of terrorists, the New Black Panther Party, Al Sharpton the extortionist/liar, and buttboy for Obama.
Let’s talk honestly. This is the most racially divisive (by design) administration since the 1800’s. There is not one major DOJ leader I would trust with my granddaughter, my cat, or my daughter’s snake (except that snakes can get along, sometimes).
Ronald Reagan used to talk about “all Americans”. Obama and Holder talk about “some Americans”, sounding as like they were the “more equal” pigs of Orwell’s “Animal Farm”. “All pigs are created equal but some pigs are more equal than other.”
If any of Obama/Holder’s people went to Harvard Law School, as did Obie and Erica, then you can bet they took courses on black reparations with Prof. Charles Ogletree, the father of the modern “reparationist movement”.
Hillary went to Yale where she had at least one Communist Party USA professor, Thomas I. Emerson, and perhaps his comsyph colleage Vern Countryman.
They, and other leftist professors, didn’t teach “equal law”, but “selectively equal law”. They were aided in their perversion of the “law” by the far-left ACLU, the Communist Party fronts the National Lawyers Guild, its offshoot the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee, along with the pro-Cuban National Conference of Black Lawyers.
The “Law” has been hijacked, subverted, perverted, twisted and often emasculated by the above and their followers, and it was by design, not by accident.
Amnesty for illegals, “black rights”, “social justice”, environmental justice, “drug rights”, etc. are meant as much to destroy some of our society as it may be to correct some problems in it.
You don’t destroy your house if it has a cracked wall in order to “fix” it, yet our Marxists(white and black), black extremists/reparationists, Anarcho-Marxists (Red and Black Blocs), the white guilt ridden liberal dupes, and the black lumpenproletariat (i.c. street cannon-fodder), want either total control of society now, or want to destroy it so that they can get total control of it later.
And leading this charge are Obama, Holder, Reid, Pelosi, Louis Gutierrez, Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Mayor DeBlasio, Hillary Clinton, and their friends and supporters.
If Ferguson explodes tonight, it will be because of a well-planned out widespread attack not only on that city, but also on the police specifically, and white (and Asian) America, in general, and as the ultimate goal, America in general.
And that’s the truth!
A lot of schools at least were named for him.
Too bad probably almost all of them teach opposite to his philosophy.
I’d love to see Al Sharpton left holding the bag in all the other cities, with only a few token protesters...no crowds. The race baiting is only hurting blacks not helping.

New London, CT? Protest at the Fort Trumbull neighborhood... it is empty and you can show what liberalism can do!!! (It was the site of Kelso vs New London).

Seen it with my own eyes at a summer camp for disadvantaged kids. worked there six summers. Most were pretty fast learners. There were a few, however could not even wade in shallow water without falling down or wigging out.
