Memo to Rep. Hal Rogers: If you fund President Obama's executive amnesty plan, you will own it with him.
Now that the president has announced his executive amnesty order, it puts the spotlight squarely on Republican leaders such as House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers who seems to be at odds with most of the GOP.
Rogers suggested last week to a reporter the GOP should pass a long-term spending bill even if it should include funding for Obama's upcoming Executive Order. Mr. Chairman: If the American people wanted Congress to fund amnesty programs, they would have kept the Democrats in charge.
Whether we are talking about a continuing resolution or omnibus spending bill is completely irrelevant. American voters were not just casually opposed to the presidents naive, unworkable, and unfair policy ideas, Mr. Rogers. Voters put your party back in charge of Congress to stop paying for Obama's unconstitutional schemes with their hard-earned tax dollars, once and for all.
Republicans across the board both conservatives and establishment alike and reportedly even the Speaker of the House himself are calling on Congress to not provide the president with any funding to carry out his plan to grant amnesty to millions of people who entered our country illegally. Why is the Appropriations Committee Chairman seemingly alone on the proverbial island in favor of funding?
Countless conservatives ran against the presidents proposal and were overwhelmingly elected to office earlier this month Joni Ernst, Ben Sasse, Cory Gardner, Tom Cotton, just to name a few.
Ernst said, I strongly urge the president not to sidestep Congress by granting executive amnesty. By acting alone, he will only be encouraging more illegal immigration, and worsening the existing crisis on our border.

GOPe love the idea ‘bama is getting the blame for what they have wanted all along........
Here’s why Hal is not doing what is best for America:

A defense contractor and top campaign contributor to House Appropriations Committee chairman Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY) is in the running to get a contract to print millions of IDs and other government documents associated with the presidents planned executive amnesty, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
The contractor, General Dynamics, is on the list of interested vendors for a draft solicitation that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), an agency of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), sent out to vendors in October. If the president goes through with an executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens and General Dynamics gets the contract, a top official with the firm told Breitbart News that he expects the printing of the documents — including ID cards, work permits and Social Security cards for illegal aliens — would occur at a facility inside Chairman Rogers congressional district in Kentucky.

Hal needs his office phone melted down by angry Americans.
ALSO, on Dec. 3, when Bachmann is calling for Americans who care about their country & oppose Obola’s illegal EO, to meet in DC, folks need to be sure to put Hal’s office on their visiting list.
This has really brought the “go along to get along’ RINOs out of hiding. If you just thought you knew who they were now there is no doubt.
The perfect cover to pander to the base. Such tea party stalwarts as Trey Gowdy are wailing against the President while enjoying their good fortune to get amnesty through without having to take a stand by voting on it.
I hope the guy can be persuaded to do the right thing.
Kudos for the Breitbart article posted above, it figures it is something like this.
I read the Breitbart article and find no mention of Trey Gowdy.
How is he associated with the RINO pandering to O’s amnesty?
Rogers has been a Big Government, Establishment Replublican fly in the ointment for years.
He will fight nny attempt to cut the size of government—or any attempt to oppose the Chamber of Commerce—tooth and nail.
The ChamberPOT (protection of TYRANNY) Party.
cochran, incoming chairman of the Senate Appropiations committee has also said he will not hold up funding for the illegal, illegal immigration amnesty “reform”. cochran, as haley barbours stand in, in the Senate, is also for amnesty. I didn’t realize that the US Senate’s job was to “fund government” until mConnell told us that this week, I thought there had other responsibilities including abiding by and protecting our Constitution.
And you should add General Dynamics to the thread title. They need done to them what the left did to Halliburton. Pick a target, freeze it, polarize it.
Say what? This is the first I've heard of it.
Rallies at State capitols too?
Spread the word!!!! I think some FReepers are planning to attend (no details, sorry).

In response to Obamas imperial amnesty move, Congresswoman Bachmann is organizing an anti-amnesty rally for December 3. In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, Bachmann had this to say:
From December 1st to the 11th, we need them to melt the phone lines and say defund amnesty. We need them to go to senators and congressmens offices, but Im calling on your viewers to come to DC on Wednesday, December 3rd, at high noon on the west steps of the Capitol. We need to have a rally and we need to go visit our senators and visit our congressmen because nothing frightens a congressmen likes the whites of his constituents eyes. And we need to say youre not going to do this with our constitution You can make the difference and we can get this thing defunded. We can do this .
Apology for being an HTML idiot, but the above link outlines Gowdy's position. In fairness, his position includes enforcement, but also includes expanded work visas. It is not a pure amnesty position but it is also not a close the border and deport them all philosophy. I just find it ironic that Gowdy condemns the President for his actions but supports some of the same positions. All in all, though, Gowdy is a better than average congress critter but knows how to play the political game.
For being right on so much Gowdy has shown himself to be betrayer of our Republic.
I have read his positions on amnesty. He is as clueless as McCain over the Republic destroying result of 40M illegal anti-American, very anti-English third world illiterates pouring across our border.
These illegals are here for two reasons -- 1) to get as many freebies as possible and (2) out breed American citizens and destroy America as founded.
