They tell us, sir, that we are weak;
unable to cope with so formidable an adversary.
But when shall we be stronger?
Will it be the next week, or the next year?
Will it be when we are totally disarmed,
and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house?
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction?
Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance
by lying supinely on our backs
and hugging the delusive phantom of hope,
until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
Sir, we are not weak
if we make a proper use of those means
which the God of nature hath placed in our power.

at St. John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia on March 23,1775.-
Bravo!!!!!
I read this—and Mr.West —On the Right to Rebel,1776; and President Lincoln March 30 ,1863 proclamation for a National Day of public humiliation,fasting ,and Prayer at least once every year, comfort in the knowing our fore fathers were Reasonable men —sure knowledge that what I see today cannot be reconciled for as Lincoln said “We have forgotten God.”
Also helps to remember and appropriate the attitude Mr.Marcus Luttrell expresses so well—the only way to take us out of the fight—is to kill us. Unless we posses this attitude we are sheep.
