Amnesty: Pundits warn that a funding fight over the president's move to grant de facto amnesty to illegal aliens threatens a politically risky government shutdown. But there's something much more important at stake here.
The Founders had good reason to give Congress the power of the purse: Short of impeachment, it's the most effective way to stop a lawless president from disobeying the will of Congress and usurping powers not granted by the Constitution.
The question is: Will Congress use this power to thwart President Obama's shredding of the Constitution with his executive amnesty plan?
Incoming Senate Budget Committee Chairman Jeff Sessions is on record as opposing any long-term budget resolution that would include funding for this executive travesty. He wants a short-term bill to get us to the point where the new Congress can fund everything except the Homeland Security Office responsible for carrying out the president's amnesty plan.

My point was that misinformed people are no longer required for Constitutional destruction.
Unelected judges are doing the job all on their own.
However, I have never understood the Conservative focus on the 17th Amendment.
I mean, states that want less federal power already elect mostly Republican senators.
I see this as just one more big government promise that delivers failure.
It is my hope that it will be come obvious to Latinos and Blacks that Democrats can't be trusted to work out the details when the ram things through the systems.
Thats the bottom line. Every word in Constitution just gives corrupt lawyers an opportunity to change intended meanings.
Who needs a Congress if it is so incapable of holding the Executive Branch accountable? We should disband Congress and save ourselves a lot of money and headache. We should just make the prez a 4 year elected monarch/dictator. In fact, we should also disband all courts, States, governors, legislatures since no one seems to be able to protect our freedoms and liberties and protect this nation.
Yes, and millions still believe this despite the evidence to the contrary.
