He can be impeached, but he will not be removed. The votes aren’t there.

How do you know? I’m tired of this defeatist attitude. Let them impeach, let them do it soon, then we’ll find out. Let them be seen standing with him. But for God’s sake, quit this mantra that it can never be done. That’s the same argument that has kept the illegal aliens here for decades, “There’s too many to deport it can never be done.”

He can be impeached, but he will not be removed. That is for a jury to decide, we haven't heard the case yet.

He can be impeached, but he will not be removed. The votes arent there. This oft repeated prediction fails to take into account the dynamic nature of the process. Faced with the prospect of losing another 8 - 10 Senate seats in 2016, the survival instinct just might kick in.

You only need 51 votes in the Senate to convict. Obama can certainly be removed.

then lets just impeach him. better than doing nothing.

Exactly! And when he's acquitted in the Senate, he'll have a celebratory press conference and his ratings will soar. Remember Clinton's defiant statement after he survived impeachment?
The Republicans need to think outside the box on this one. Trying to remove him as president will fail spectacularly.
