Bigger than that. They are out to destroy any honest belief in Jesus Christ. That’s what this is all about. Why else make “sins” in the same category as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of association, or the right to due process? They are doing this because it is all part of a grand plan to prosecute religion as a crime. In no small part, this is being helped by a large estimated segment of the population that belongs to no religion, not all of them, but there is certainly a militant atheist segment in the mix. Pew polls estimate that close to 1/3 are not affiliated with any organized religion.
Put in mind that the Supreme Court has classified polygamy, incest, and underage sex, as crimes that you can prosecute a religion for as part of the public good. I doubt that will be the only one.
Do I fight this with my part in the public outrage? Sure. But at the same time, those who were predicting the dire consequences on the nation 10-20 years ago are anything but crazy now.
