Kasich shared the stage for an afternoon panel discussion with Govs. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Mike Pence of Indiana, Rick Perry of Texas and Scott Walker of Wisconsin. It probably wasn't supposed to sound and look like a primary debate, even with NBC's Chuck Todd moderating, but it did. And Kasich was in the center of the scrum.
Or was it the left? On three policy issues important to the party's conservative base Kasich tracked more moderate than his potential rivals for the GOP nomination. And while many were happy to bash President Barack Obama, particularly as he plans an executive action around immigration reform, Kasich called for "cooler heads."

I got a rather lengthy poll phone call on Sunday afternoon . .. said NBC/Wall Street Journal . . . the three GOP potential candidates they mentioned were Kaisich, Christie and Paul. Oh one question about Carson but I don’t remember the exact wording. Nothing about Cruz, Walker or others.
I may feel different after I talk to old friends in Ohio, but today I think I could vote for Kasich with a clear conscious.
Kasich is one of those guys who got elected as a solid conservative and then contracted beltwayitis.
He would be better than Jeb or Christie. However, his real competition would be Walker.
Kasich has been a good Governor, but he is hardly a right winger. He was more Conservative as a Congressman,, but that is to be expected from a legislator. A governor must be more pragmatic.
Walker has stated he isn’t interested at this time in running for POTUS, and Cruz is the target of MSM marginalization. They intend to Palin Ted Cruz into oblivion. I believe that’s why they didn’t mention him in their questioning to you.
Kasich is doing all he can to wipe out conservatives in Ohio. He has personally recruited liberals to run against incumbent conservatives in the state legislature. He did an “executive action” slamming Obama’s Medicaid Expansion through, despite the fact the Republican state legislature had expressly voted against this. Kasich has allied himself with the corrupt unions in Ohio and gotten money from them to target Tea Party candidates for defeat. Kasich is awful. I gave him a good amount of money in his run for governor. I would now rather have a Democrat than Kasich. I expect a Democrat to do this totalitarian stuff. I don’t want it from a Republican.
I am in Ohio and actually, I can’t even form an opinion of him as a presidential candidate. One thing I know - even the DEMS in this state like him, as evidenced by the voting on November 4th. Does this mean he is a RINO? In some ways - yes, but, to be honest - a governor and a president should represent all the people - not just one party. Kasich has some conservative values, but he does what he feels is best, and lets the chips fall where they may. He’s no Ted Cruz, but he’s far better than Jeb, Christie and a few others who might throw their hat in the ring.
As usual,I take a wait and see attitude.
You’re a troll who has been on FR for less than 30 days.
“...Gruber is a good guy...” Yeah, right.
You’re red meat for the Viking Kitties.
You are a moron who invents quotes. I said nothing about Gruber. If you have something intelligent to say, like contesting what I said about Kasich, then do it. But I think that is over your head.
Now, I did point out that Mitt Romney liked Jonathan Gruber a lot. You must be a Mitt Romney troll.
Kasich going for the GOPe vote...Watch out Jeb.

He trounced his opponent in the Governor’s race Nov. 4. It’s a shame Kasich has moved so far to the left; proud that he compromised with DemocRATS while in Congress and now accepting Amnesty as something unavoidable. We could have used him on the ticket to carry Ohio in 2016; but not now. After reading this article I’m convinced he IS GOP Establishment. Just damn!
