Mandy Walker, ASC, ACS, recently checked in from the set of Truth, a feature film about Dan Rathers abrupt departure from CBS News in 2005 in the wake of reports that raised questions about George W. Bushs military service during the Vietnam War. Robert Redford portrays Rather, and Cate Blanchett plays CBS producer Mary Mapes, who was fired for her role in the incident. Directed by James Vanderbilt, the production is currently shooting in Australia, in part to allow Blanchett some time close to home.
Mandy says Truth is an elaborate story thats heavy on dialogue; the story unfolds in offices, conference rooms, boardrooms and television studios. After shooting 16 features on film, she is going digital for Truth. She is using the Arri Alexa, which she has used before on commercials and TV projects. The anamorphic-lens set consists of Panavision G Series and E Series.

10 to 1 odds they won’t tell the TRUTH!
I believe you’re right. Especially if Redford is involved. He can’t be wrong!
Guaranteed flop.
The MenSeekingMen thought they had it all in the bag until post #47 resulted in CBS firing their longest-standing anchor.
That was 10 years ago. They’ve bankrupted themselves quadrupling down on their clamp on the truth... and are losing.
They studiously avoided reminding Americans there was a Mid-term to vote in, but America remembered anyway.
Hahahahh
Yes, I can’t imagine it being anything more than a limited release. And the way the DP described it, as a lot of talking and other boring stuff. I’m sure it will get the same promotional support as the flurry of anti-war/anti-Bush movies got the past few years that no one can remember now.
Oh, I forgot that this was an October Surprise, was it not?
